  • Patent number: 8978398
Abstract: An expansion valve assembly includes a housing that defines a passage through which a fluid flows. The assembly also includes a diaphragm that deflects according to a characteristic of the fluid and valve member that is operably coupled to the diaphragm to move within the passage between a first position and a second position due to deflection of the diaphragm to regulate flow of the fluid through the passage. A stroke is defined by a distance between the first and second positions of the valve member. Moreover, the assembly includes a stroke measuring device having a first member and a second member. The first member is operably coupled to the valve member to move relative to the second member due to movement of the valve member. The stroke measuring device is operable to detect the amount of relative movement of the first and second members to detect the stroke.

  • Publication number: 20150071793
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a serviceable fan shroud motor support structure which provides a means to repair or replace individual components of the vehicle cooling module such as the fan motor or fan blades, without removing and dismantling the entire vehicle cooling module. The fan shroud motor support structure includes at least one removable spoke, which once removed, would provide access to the portion of the fan assembly requiring service or replacement. Once the repair or replacement is complete, they simply snap the previously removed spokes back into place in order to complete the repair.

  • Publication number: 20140060785
Abstract: A double pipe internal heat exchanger including a pipe, a first ferrule, a second ferrule, and a flexible hose. The pipe defines an inner channel. The first ferrule and a second ferrule are mounted to the pipe and spaced apart along the pipe. The flexible hose is mounted to the first ferrule and the second ferrule. The flexible hose defines an outer channel between the pipe and the flexible hose.

  • Publication number: 20140001000
Abstract: A vibration damper for a conduit line. The damper includes a flexible body defining a bore and a slot adjacent to the bore. The body is flexible between a first configuration in which the slot has a first width that is insufficient to permit the conduit line to pass therethrough, and a second configuration in which the slot has a second width that is sufficient to permit the conduit line to pass therethrough, the second width is greater than the first width. The flexible body further includes a plurality of tuning splines. The tuning splines include a length and a width configured to reduce vibration of the conduit line when the damper is connected to the conduit line such that the conduit line extends through the bore.

  • Publication number: 20130156554
Abstract: A blower unit for a vehicle including a fan, a motor, a scroll case, a cooling chamber, a first partition, and a second partition. The fan is configured to generate airflow. The motor is connected to the fan. The scroll case accommodates the fan. The cooling chamber is connected to the scroll case and defines a cooling path for guiding airflow from the fan to the motor. The first partition is arranged in the cooling path. The second partition is arranged in the cooling path spaced apart from the first partition.

  • Patent number: 8425284
Abstract: An apparatus for a heating, ventilating and air conditioning system may include an outer shell and a honeycomb structure. The outer shell may define an interior volume having an inlet and an outlet providing an airflow path therethrough. The honeycomb structure may be attached to the outer shell and disposed in the airflow path. The honeycomb structure may include a plurality of polygonal apertures extending substantially in a direction of the airflow. The honeycomb structure may deflect sound waves away from a predetermined area.
