  • Publication number: 20250195836
Abstract: At least a portion of the interior surface of a tubular member of an introducer for medical devices, such as an overtube, is provided with structural surface features to reduce contact friction between at least a portion of the interior surface of the tubular member and the exterior surface of a medical device longitudinally translated therethrough. The distal end of the introducer may be reinforced with a wire with flattened sides extending circumferentially around the lumen of the introducer so as not to impact the inner diameter of the lumen and thereby to allow simultaneous passage of one or more medical devices therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20240415377
Abstract: An endoscopic tissue grasper device includes a flexible tubular member, a flexible shaft extending through the tubular member, a proximal handle for moving the shaft and tubular member relative to each other, and a distal helical coil having a sharpened end for engaging tissue. The tissue grasper is advanced through a working channel of an endoscope, engaged relative to tissue, and retracted to pull tissue into a path of a movable needle coupled at a distal end of the endoscope so that the needle can be passed through the tissue. The needle is preferably provided with a suture so that as the needle is passed through the tissue a stitch is formed.

  • Publication number: 20220339179
Abstract: This invention relates to the finding that homologous recombination (HR) deficient cells are sensitised to PARP inhibition by either (i) catalytic inhibition or genetic ablation of 2?-deoxynucleoside 5?-phosphate N-hydrolase 1 (DNPH1) or (ii) administration of a substrate of DNPH1, such as 5-hydroxymethyl-deoxyuridine (hmdU). The invention also relates to the finding that catalytic inhibition or genetic ablation of DNPH1 combined with administration of hmdU causes synthetic lethality in HR deficient cells in the absence of PARP inhibition. Methods and compounds for use in the treatment of HR deficient cancer are provided.
