Patent number: 11966418Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for adaptive data replication. A first data object is stored. One or more first network characteristics of a communication network are detected. A first replication mode is triggered (e.g., a single-master replication mode) based on the one or more first network characteristics of the communication network. The single-master replication may be configured to facilitate real-time synchronizations (e.g., for critical updates). One or more second network characteristics of the communication network are detected. A second replication mode (e.g., a multi-master replication mode) is triggered based on the one or more second network characteristics. The second replication may be configured to facilitate a delayed synchronization (e.g., for non-critical updates) of the first data object and the second data object using the second update file.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2023Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventors: Peter Wilczynski, Ryan Zheng, John Carrino, Timothy Wilson, Stephen Freiberg, John Garrod, William Waldrep

Patent number: 11944540Abstract: Described herein are devices and methods for mitral valve repair. The devices and methods implant a plurality of distal anchors at an annulus of the mitral valve (e.g., the posterior annulus) and tension artificial chordae to pull the portion of the annulus toward an opposite edge and inward into the ventricle. This can effectively reduce the size of the orifice and increase coaptation. The delivery devices can be configured to be actuated to form a distal anchor made of a pre-formed knot. The delivery devices deliver the pre-formed knot in an elongate configuration. Actuation of the delivery device causes the pre-formed knot to transition from the elongate configuration to the deployed configuration by approximating opposite ends of a suture coupled to a coiled configuration to form one or more loops. After formation of the knot, the delivery device can be withdrawn.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2020Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignees: University of Maryland, Baltimore, Harpoon Medical, Inc.Inventors: Michael Nicholas D'ambra, Felino V. Cortez, Jr., James S. Gammie, Peter Wilson, Stephen Epstein, Stephen Cournane, Julie Marie Etheridge, Peter Boyd

Publication number: 20240099845Abstract: Described herein are methods and apparatus for approximating targeted tissue using locking sutures. The locking sutures can be configured to receive suture ends that are interweaved through portions of the locking sutures. In a pre-deployment configuration, a locking suture can slide along suture tails and can be positioned at a target location within a target region. Once a desired position and/or tension is achieved, the locking suture can be transitioned to a post-deployment configuration where the locking suture constricts around the suture tails to inhibit relative movement between the suture tails and the locking suture. A visualization system can be used to provide visual feedback with respect to approximating the targeted tissue and the locking sutures.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Felino V. Cortez, JR., James S. Gammie, Peter Wilson, Luke Anthony Zanetti, Julie Marie Etheridge, Stephen Cournane

Publication number: 20240094632Abstract: Precursor solutions for radiation patternable coatings are formed with an organic solvent and monoalkyl tin trialkoxides in which the water content of the solvent is adjusted to be within 10 percent of a selected value. Generally, the water content of the solvent is adjusted through water addition, although water removal can also be used. In some embodiments, the adjusted water content of the solvent can be from about 250 ppm by weight to about 10,000 ppm by weight. With the appropriate selection of ligands, the adjusted precursor solutions can be stable for at least about 42 days, and in some cases at least 8 months.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Kai Jiang, Stephen T. Publication number: 20220300584Abstract: Embodiments described include systems and methods for adding watermarks using an embedded browser. To provide protection to sensitive information from a network application rendered via an embedded browser of a client application, the client application can generate an overlay with a digital watermark, and apply the overlay over the embedded browser. The client application can selectively generate such overlays, and can customize the format of the digital watermark according to the information rendered on the embedded browser. The watermark can remain with any information that is imaged from the embedded browser, and provides a deterrent against misuse of the information via image capture from a computer screen for instance. By adjusting properties (e.g., contrast) of such an image, the watermark can be made visible and detectable, thus allowing such imaging activities and information to be tracked.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2022Publication date: September 22, 2022Inventors: Christopher Fleck, Rachelle Tobkes, Stephen Wilson
