Patent number: 9242077Abstract: A tool includes a locator having a center aligned with a rotor axis when disposed over the valve. The locator has a first dimension approximately perpendicular with the rotor axis. A wall of the locator forms a volume to allow an adjustor to be disposed therein. The adjustor fits within the wall and has a magnet having a magnetic axis to unlock the rotor. An adjustable outer wall has a first position dimension permitting the adjustor to rotate about the center of the locator and aligning the magnetic axis with the center. The adjustable outer wall has a second position dimension less than the first dimension and the first position dimension. The adjustor can move lateral, rotational, and orbital in the locator misaligning the magnetic axis with the center. Misaligning the magnetic and rotor axes unlocks the rotors and the magnet maintains the unlocked state even when the axes are misaligned.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2013Date of Patent: January 26, 2016Assignee: DePuy Synthes Products, Inc.Inventors: Stephen Wilson, Alyssa Trigger, Brian Soares

Publication number: 20160017657Abstract: A ladder assembly includes a plurality of interconnected ladder segments. Each ladder segment comprises two opposing rails and rungs that are pivotably mounted to the rails to allow each ladder segment to be collapsed by pivoting the rungs in a folding direction relative to the rails and moving opposing rails closer to each other. Each ladder segment may be erected by pivoting the rungs in an opposite unfolding direction relative to the rails. Ladder segments further comprise top and bottom rail connectors allowing interconnection of the top of that ladder segment to the bottom of another of the ladder segments. The top and bottom rail connectors are keyed, so that first and second connected ones of said plurality of ladder segments will be oriented with the unfolding direction of their rungs opposite to each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2014Publication date: January 21, 2016Inventor: STEPHEN WILSON

Publication number: 20160006723Abstract: This invention provides for data generated by intelligent devices exchanging information about their operation and performance over the so-called “Internet of Things” to be unidentified. Where particulars about an individual associated with a networked device are relevant to the operation and performance of the device, this invention provides for said particulars to be made available in digital certificates bound to the device. Data records generated by the device when operating with a certain individual are digitally signed at the time and later verified using said certificates, thus reliably conveying those particulars with the data. The identity of the individual is decoupled from the device and the data generated by the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2014Publication date: January 7, 2016Inventor: Stephen WILSON

Patent number: 9074477Abstract: A connector for connecting an impeller to a shaft is provided. The connector is formed as a unitary body. The connector has a sleeve portion which is frictionally connected on a radially outer surface of a shaft-side hub extension of the impeller. The connector further has a threaded portion carrying a thread which screws onto a corresponding threaded portion of the shaft, such that the connector provides a rotationally fixed connection between the impeller and the shaft. The hub extension has a central recess, and a part of the connector is inserted into the recess. The frictional connection between the sleeve portion and the radially outer surface of the hub extension transmits, in use, substantially all of the torque between the shaft and the impeller.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2012Date of Patent: July 7, 2015Assignee: NAPIER TURBOCHARGERS LIMITEDInventors: Ian Pinkney, Osarobo Famous Okhuahesogie, Paul Eifion Roach, Neil Ryan Thomas, Ian Patrick Clare Brown, Peter Kay, Stephen Wilson, David Leslie Smith, Robert Neil George, Paul Leslie Jacklin, Geoff Kinpoy Ngao, Kevin John Musson, Matthew Elijah Moore, Jamie Clare, Thomas Jarlath Murray, Stuart Michael Potter, Christopher John Monaghan, Alan Martin Taylor, Francis Joseph Geoffrey Heyes, Trevor Knighton
