    Abstract: The present invention is based, at least in part, on the identification of a pharmaceutical container formed, at least in part, of a glass composition which exhibits a reduced propensity to delaminate, i.e., a reduced propensity to shed glass particulates. The DCEP, the tubular welding wire, and the shielding gas flow are combined to form a weld deposit on a zinc-coated workpiece, wherein less than approximately 10 wt % of the tubular welding wire is converted to spatter while forming the weld deposit on the zinc-coated workpiece.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure pertain to a strengthened glass article including a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface defining a thickness (t) of about less than about 1.1 mm, a compressive stress layer extending from the first surface to a depth of compression (DOC) of about 0.1·t or greater, such that when the glass article fracture, it breaks into a plurality of fragments having an aspect ratio of about 5 or less. In some embodiments, the glass article exhibits an equibiaxial flexural strength of about 20 kgf or greater, after being abraded with 90-grit SiC particles at a pressure of 25 psi for 5 seconds. Devices incorporating the glass articles described herein and methods for making the same are also disclosed.

    Abstract: Phase shifters such as networks that can be used in MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) and hybrid digital phase shifters, for low loss, wide bandwidth, and high linearity. A digital phase shifter includes input port for receiving signals and output ports for transmitting the signals. Multiple transmission lines are arranged between the input and output ports of the phase shifter. The transmission lines are arranged in a ring with first pair of the transmission lines which are arranged in series in a first path and second pair of the transmission lines arranged in series in a second path. One of the transmission lines of the first and second pairs include quarter-wave hybrid coupled line with coupled-ports and through-ports terminated in short-circuit. Hybrid coupled line can be a Lange coupler with or without RF crossover.

    Abstract: A steering system for an articulated truck. The articulated truck is formed of a tractor and a trailer and an articulation joint. The steering system includes a hydraulic cylinder, with a cylinder barrel and a piston. The steering system provides for changes in angle between the tractor and the trailer. The hydraulic cylinder includes a snubbing tube projecting into the cylinder barrel. A hydraulic fluid passage opens into the cylinder barrel within the snubbing tube. The snubbing tube includes a main slot and a plurality of channels each extending between an interior and an exterior of the snubbing tube. The plurality of channels have a cross sectional area smaller than a cross sectional area of the main slot. When the articulated truck is steered, the piston moves in the cylinder barrel and the snubbing tube dampens the movement to prevent forces generated by the piston damaging the articulated truck.

    Abstract: A chain brace for restricting relative movement between first, second, and third serially connected links of a chain. The chain brace can include a wedge block defining a bore at least partially therethrough, first and second outer blocks, a capture frame that can include a reaction plate that can define a bore therethrough, and a tension member. The capture frame can be configured to position the outer blocks and the wedge block within the second link of the chain. The tension member can be positioned through the bore defined by the reaction plate and into the bore defined by the wedge block to apply a force on the wedge block such that the wedge block displaces the first and second outer blocks into contact with the ends of the first and third links of chain, respectively, to restrict relative movement between the first, second, and third links of the chain.

    Abstract: A method and system for attaching a vertical stabilizer to an aircraft fuselage using a clevis system is disclosed. A composite skin is installed over the aircraft fuselage. The composite skin has apertures for receiving a plurality of clevises in a clevis system. The plurality of clevises is inserted through the apertures in the composite skin. Each of the plurality of clevises is secured to a frame member in the aircraft fuselage. The vertical stabilizer has a multi-spar box connected with a base rib assembly having a plurality of lugs. The base rib assembly of the vertical stabilizer is engaged with the clevis system. The plurality of lugs in the base rib assembly is secured to the plurality of clevises in the clevis system. Attachment of the vertical stabilizer to the aircraft fuselage, as well as subsequent inspection, may be performed from outside the aircraft.
