  • Patent number: 11341189
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a method of selecting an entry in a database in an in-vehicle infotainment system. The method includes receiving a second single-character input after receiving a first single-character input, generating a multi-character search string in which the first character of the multi-character search string is the first single-character input and the second character of the multi-character search string is the second single-character input, searching a database stored in the in-vehicle infotainment system for entries that match the multi-character search string, and causing a number of entries that match the multi-character search string to be displayed by the in-vehicle infotainment system. An advantage of the disclosed embodiment is that a vehicle operator can effectively search through a large number of entries in an in-vehicle system with reduced distraction and without stopping the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11312075
Abstract: A spatial light modulator outputs modulated light including: modulated first light when the spatial light modulator receives first light; and modulated second light when the spatial light modulator receives second light. Projection optics project the modulated light onto: a first pixel region when a component or the spatial light modulator has a first position; and a second pixel region when the component or the spatial light modulator has a second position. The first and second pixel regions partially overlap. A pixel shifter moves the component or the spatial light modulator between: the first position when the spatial light modulator outputs the modulated first light; and the second position when the spatial light modulator outputs the modulated second light.

  • Publication number: 20220103492
Abstract: Assessing, using a computer, a state of a participant and sharing personalized data for the participant in an electronic group meeting or collaboration using a communications network. Personalized data is received at a computer for a user participating in electronic group communications including group collaboration. The personalized data received at the computer includes biometric data and personality profile results. The biometric data includes biometric changes in real-time. A biometric change in the user is detected from a baseline for the user. In response to the biometric change, the biometric data is analyzed and the personality profile results to determine a suggested action regarding the user. The suggested action is communicated to the user or another participant user of the group meeting based on the analysis.

  • Patent number: 11265182
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide for collaborative access to a distributed data structure. Operations such as inserting, deleting, and annotating are performed by various clients participating in the collaboration. A serialization service enforcing a single order of these operations and ensures the operations and order are communicated to all of the clients participating in the collaboration. Once all clients have acknowledged particular operations, this information is also communicated to all of the clients, such that the clients may perform maintenance activities on the collaboration data structures. The result is a rolling collaboration window shared by all of the clients of the collaboration, with a bottom of the collaboration window defined by a lowest ordered operation not yet acknowledged by all clients of the collaboration, and a highest ordered operation as assigned by the serialization service.

  • Publication number: 20220040038
Abstract: A strengthened glass container or vessel such as, but not limited to, vials for holding pharmaceutical products or vaccines in a hermetic and/or sterile state. The strengthened glass container undergoes a strengthening process that produces compression at the surface and tension within the container wall. The strengthening process is designed such that the tension within the wall is great enough to ensure catastrophic failure of the container, thus rendering the product unusable, should sterility be compromised by a through-wall crack. The tension is greater than a threshold central tension, above which catastrophic failure of the container is guaranteed, thus eliminating any potential for violation of pharmaceutical integrity.

  • Patent number: 11212342
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide for collaborative access to a distributed data structure. The disclosed embodiments include collaboration participant devices or instances that each represent a distributed data structure via a tree data structure. The collaboration participants perform operations on the distributed data structure and communicate these operations to each other via a serialization service. The tree structure maintained by each of the collaboration participants stores unacknowledged operations and also collaboration participant specific length information for collaboration participants. Once a particular operation has been acknowledged by each of the collaboration participants, this is communicated to all of the participants by the serialization service. The collaboration participants may then perform maintenance on a portion of the tree structure represented the acknowledged operation.
