  • Publication number: 20160160341
Abstract: In various embodiments, eroded sputtering targets are partially refurbished by spray-depositing particles of target material to at least partially fill certain regions (e.g., regions of deepest erosion) without spray-deposition within other eroded regions (e.g., regions of less erosion). The partially refurbished sputtering targets may be sputtered after the partial refurbishment without substantive changes in sputtering properties (e.g., sputtering rate) and/or properties of the sputtered films.

  • Patent number: 9309591
Abstract: In various embodiments, tubular sputtering targets comprising molybdenum are provided and sputtered to produce thin films comprising molybdenum. The sputtering targets may be formed by forming a tubular billet having an inner diameter IDI and an outer diameter ODI, the formation comprising pressing molybdenum powder in a mold and sintering the pressed molybdenum powder, working the tubular billet to form a worked billet having an outer diameter ODf smaller than ODI, and heat treating the worked billet. The sputtering targets may have a substantially uniform texture of (a) a 110 orientation parallel to a longitudinal direction and (b) a 111 orientation parallel to a radial direction.

  • Publication number: 20150370209
Abstract: A consumable imaging unit has a hopper unit having a developer roller and a wastebin unit having a photoconductive drum. The developer roller contacts the photoconductive drum, forming a nip between the developer roller and the photoconductive drum, when the wastebin unit and the hopper unit are installed in an imaging machine. A first circuit board mounting pad located on the consumable imaging unit receives a first circuit board adapted to communicate a first set of required data and a second circuit board mounting pad located on the consumable imaging unit receives a second circuit board adapted to communicate a second set of required data. The consumable imaging unit also has a handle located in the center of an end of the consumable imaging unit, a planar member for guided movement by a slot in said imaging machine, and a torque tab receptacle adapted to receive a torque tab thereby limiting lateral movement between the hopper unit and the wastebin unit.
