  • Publication number: 20050266757
Abstract: A method of forming a chopped strand mat formed of bonding materials and wet use chopped strand glass fibers (WUCS) which demonstrate a reduced occurrence of static electricity is provided. In one exemplary embodiment, the occurrence of static electricity on the glass fibers is reduced or eliminated by increasing the total solids content on the glass fibers, such as by applying an increased or excess amount of size composition to the glass fibers. Alternatively, an anti-static agent may be added directly to the sizing composition and applied to the glass filaments by any suitable application device. The antistatic agent may be applied to the wet chopped strand glass prior to chopping the strands or as the wet chopped strands are packaged. The static free wet use chopped strand glass fibers may be used in dry-laid processes to form chopped strand mats having a reduced tendency to accumulate static electricity.

  • Publication number: 20050206518
Abstract: A system for actively monitoring a patient includes at least one body-worn monitoring device that has at least one sensor capable of measuring at least one physiologic parameter and detecting at least one predetermined event. At least one intermediary device is, linked to the body-worn monitoring device by means of a first wireless network and at least one respondent device is linked to said at least one intermediary device by a second wireless network wherein the respondent device is programmed to perform a specified function automatically when the at least one predetermined event is realized. The monitoring device operates to periodically transmit patient status data to the intermediary device but the system predominantly operates in a quiet state, providing very low power consumption.

  • Publication number: 20050130352
Abstract: A dynamic random access memory (DRAM) structure having a distance less than 0.14 um between the contacts to silicon and the gate conductor is disclosed. In addition a method for forming the structure is disclosed, which includes forming the DRAM array contacts and the contacts to silicon simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20050062111
Abstract: A process for fabricating a semiconductor structure, wherein the semiconductor structure includes a core region and a periphery region. The core region includes a plurality of transistors and the periphery region includes a plurality of transistors. The process includes depositing a middle-of-line liner using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition overlying the semiconductor structure. By using a plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition the amount of MOL liner deposited in the core region and the periphery region can be controlled depending on the distances between transistors in the core region and periphery region.

  • Publication number: 20050055341
Abstract: A system and method for providing search query refinements are presented. A stored query and a stored document are associated as a logical pairing. A weight is assigned to the logical pairing. The search query is issued and a set of search documents is produced. At least one search document is matched to at least one stored document. The stored query and the assigned weight associated with the matching at least one stored document are retrieved. At least one cluster is formed based on the stored query and the assigned weight associated with the matching at least one stored document. The stored query associated with the matching at least one stored document are scored for the at least one cluster relative to at least one other cluster. At least one such scored search query is suggested as a set of query refinements.

  • Publication number: 20050003154
Abstract: Plastic building panels for exterior use on buildings are made by forming a plastic sheet at an elevated temperature, overlaying an exterior surface portion of the formed sheet with a coloring sheet having a preselected color, and thermally bonding the coloring sheet to the formed sheet. The coloring sheet may comprise a vinyl resin plastisol and pigment particles. Both the formed sheet and the vinyl resin in the plastisol may comprise polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The coloring sheet can be configured with a matte surface substantially without the use of flattening agents, and an adhesion system can be used to augment the lamination between the coloring sheet and the plastic sheet. The coloring sheet can also be configured to have a predetermined pattern, such as may be provided with a plurality of coloring materials having multiple colors.

  • Publication number: 20020026217
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus and method for sealing a graft in a vessel for preventing blood from flowing around the graft and for reducing the pressure within an aneurysm sac. The system generally includes an apparatus and method for safely and easily causing blood to thrombos between a graft and an aneurysm wall or other arteriovenous site.

  • Patent number: 5495238
Abstract: An electro-mechanical induction watt-hour meter has a rotatable disc and a projection on the base directed into the meter terminating in proximity of the rotatable disc. The projection is part of a pulse initiator system where a pulse signal is transmitted through a selected area of the base that is transparent to the signal. A signal is generated externally of the meter and chopped by rotation of the disc providing a pulse signal that passes through the base of the meter to a receptor external to the meter. The signal generator and the pulse signal receptor are both located in the enclosure defined by the base of the meter and the receptacle socket for the meter. The generated signal is disclosed as a light beam that, by way of light guides on the meter base, is directed to one side of the rotating disc and is directed by one light guide and to the other side of the disc where another light guide returns the chopped or pulsed signal to the receptor.
