Abstract: A process of growing a phototrophic biomass in a reaction zone, including a reaction mixture that is operative for effecting photosynthesis upon exposure to photosynthetically active light radiation, is provided. The reaction mixture includes phototrophic biomass that is operative for growth within the reaction zone. In one aspect, the carbon dioxide supply is modulated in response to detected process parameters. In another aspect, inputs to the reaction zone are modulated based on changes to the carbon dioxide supply. In another aspect, dilution of the carbon dioxide-comprising supply is effected. In another aspect, pressure of the carbon dioxide-comprising supply is increased. In another aspect, water is condensed from the carbon dioxide-comprising supply and recovered for re-use. In another aspect, the produced phototrophic biomass is harvested at a rate which approximates a predetermined growth rate of the phototrophic biomass.

  • Publication number: 20220366407
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a description of systems and methods for verifying product authenticity at a point of sale through transaction messages. A point of sale may collect product identifiers from products that a consumer is interested in purchase as part of a traditional checkout process. Product identifiers can be included in special data elements in a transaction message that is submitted to a merchant's acquiring bank through for the payment transaction. As part of the processing of the transaction by the acquirer, the acquirer can consult a processor to check the authenticity of the products being purchased by examining a provenance blockchain for the product identifiers included in the transaction message. If the products are determined to be authentic, the transaction can proceed as normal. If the products are not authentic, then the acquirer can deny the transaction and stop the consumer from purchasing a counterfeit or fraudulent good.

  • Patent number: 11494952
Abstract: Data can be efficiently integrated into augmented and virtual reality environments. A location index consisting of a hierarchical arrangement of location tags can be defined for a planet. Each location tag can represent a cell in a hierarchical arrangement of grids where each cell encompasses a location on the planet. Location tags can be associated with data to allow the data relevant to a location in the augmented or virtual reality environment to be quickly and efficiently retrieved using the location tags. Other indexes can be used to define hierarchical arrangements of other tags to further facilitate retrieving relevant data for integration in the augmented or virtual reality environment.
