  • Patent number: 10667807
Abstract: Shape memory tissue engagement elements (15) are created using shape memory alloys or shape memory (SM) composite sheets (33, 36) with one or more SM material sheets (20, 32). Arrays of the tissue engagement elements may then be inserted or molded into flexible base materials forming pads for tissue engagement. In certain embodiments, the composite sheets incorporate two SM material layers (20, 32) having differing transition temperatures to allow activation of one layer for tissue engagement and activation of the second layer for tissue release. In exemplary embodiments, insertion of interconnected tissue engagement elements (46) into a base layer (19) with slots (48) provides a completed pad array. In alternative exemplary embodiments, vacuum forming of composite sheets (51) with cutting of corrugated sides (53) to form tissue engagement elements allow production of complete arrays of tissue engagement elements. Overmolding the arrays with a flexible base material (19) provides a completed pad.

  • Patent number: 10649939
Abstract: Systems and methods for establishing connections and routing data via high-density cabling are described herein. In one or more embodiments, a network switch or other device maps different respective subsets of differential pairs in a cable to different respective network nodes of a plurality of network nodes that are connected to the network device via the cable. The network device then receives a data packet for a particular network node of the plurality of network nodes that are connected to the network device via the cable. Responsive to receiving the data packet, the network device identifies a particular subset of differential pairs in the cable that are mapped to the particular network node. The network device then sends the data packet of the particular subset of differential pairs to the particular network node.

  • Publication number: 20200135246
Abstract: A processing device is operated using a plurality of volatile storage elements. N groups of M volatile storage elements of the plurality of volatile storage elements per group are connected to an N by M size non-volatile logic element array of a plurality of non-volatile logic element arrays using a multiplexer. The multiplexer connects one of the N groups to the N by M size non-volatile logic element array to store data from the M volatile storage elements into a row of the N by M size non-volatile logic element array at one time or to write data to the M volatile storage elements from a row of the N by M size non-volatile logic element array at one time. A corresponding non-volatile logic controller controls the multiplexer operation with respect to the connections between volatile storage elements and non-volatile storage elements.

  • Patent number: 10632364
Abstract: A simulated American football game, with a particular gaming surface, and methods of play are described. The gaming surface may include an elongate “I” shaped field that may include a simulated field region bounded by two opposing simulated play regions in a same plane. The simulated field region may simulate a 100 yard American football field and may include LED lighting to track a line of scrimmage and to track a first down yard marker target. The two opposing simulated play regions may provide for a diversity and plurality of various play outcomes that may dictate certain gameplay results when a slider comes to rest mostly over a given target or region. The slider may be slid from one opposing simulated play region, across the simulated field region to the other opposing simulated play region. In some embodiments, defensive blocking obstacles may be used to intentionally increase gameplay difficulty.

  • Patent number: 10541012
Abstract: Input power quality for a processing device is sensed. In response to detection of poor power quality, input power is disconnected, and the processing device backs up its machine state in non-volatile logic element arrays using available stored charge. When power is restored, the stored machine state is restored from the non-volatile logic element arrays to the volatile logic elements whereby the processing device resumes its process from the state immediately prior to power loss allowing seamless processing across intermittent power supply.

  • Patent number: 10524366
Abstract: A polymer film is applied onto a surface of a laminated printed circuit board subassembly having vias. Holes are created in the polymer film to access the vias while the polymer film remains covering adjacent areas. The polymer film with holes allows placement of hole-fill paste in the vias while preventing unwanted hole-fill paste placement or migration to adjacent areas. After filling the vias with hole-fill paste, the hole-fill paste is preferably at least partially hardened or cured, and the polymer film is preferably removed, facilitating further assembly of a printed circuit board without unwanted hole-fill paste in other areas which could be difficult to remove, The invention includes improved processes for fabricating printed circuit boards, and is particularly useful for irregular circuit boards and rigid flex circuit boards. The invention also includes covered laminated printed circuit board subassemblies, covered with a removable polymer film.
