  • Patent number: 10203706
Abstract: An intelligent pressure regulator in a process control system is controlled according to a profile constructed by a user on a computer connected to the device. The profile is a multi-step command sequence. The profile includes at least one conditional statement and, optionally, at least one branching statement. That is, the profile includes at least one statement that, depending on whether the statement is true or false, causes the device to execute a first command or a second command, respectively. The profile may also include a statement (e.g., a “goto” statement) that causes the device to skip one or more commands in the profile.

  • Publication number: 20190043544
Abstract: A processing device is operated using a plurality of volatile storage elements. N groups of M volatile storage elements of the plurality of volatile storage elements per group are connected to an N by M size non-volatile logic element array of a plurality of non-volatile logic element arrays using a multiplexer. The multiplexer connects one of the N groups to the N by M size non-volatile logic element array to store data from the M volatile storage elements into a row of the N by M size non-volatile logic element array at one time or to write data to the M volatile storage elements from a row of the N by M size non-volatile logic element array at one time. A corresponding non-volatile logic controller controls the multiplexer operation with respect to the connections between volatile storage elements and non-volatile storage elements.

  • Publication number: 20190044855
Abstract: Systems and methods for establishing connections and routing data via high-density cabling are described herein. In one or more embodiments, a network switch or other device maps different respective subsets of differential pairs in a cable to different respective network nodes of a plurality of network nodes that are connected to the network device via the cable. The network device then receives a data packet for a particular network node of the plurality of network nodes that are connected to the network device via the cable. Responsive to receiving the data packet, the network device identifies a particular subset of differential pairs in the cable that are mapped to the particular network node. The network device then sends the data packet of the particular subset of differential pairs to the particular network node.

  • Patent number: 10168246
Abstract: Methods of selecting, from a set of like optical fibers, a subset of optical fibers that can meet both short-wavelength and target-wavelength bandwidth requirements are disclosed. The method includes obtaining short-wavelength bandwidth data from DMD measurements, and determining a peak wavelength for each optical fiber. A target-wavelength bandwidth is then calculated using the determined peak wavelengths. The calculated target bandwidth is then compared to the short-wavelength and target-wavelength bandwidth requirements to identify which of the optical fibers satisfy these requirements.

  • Publication number: 20180335213
Abstract: A combustor assembly for a gas turbine engine is provided. The combustor assembly generally includes an annular dome and a liner that at least partially define a combustion chamber. The annular dome defines a plurality of circumferentially spaced fuel injection ports and a plurality of mounting assemblies are configured for receiving and supporting a plurality of fuel injector assemblies within the fuel injection ports. Each mounting assembly includes a ferrule positioned adjacent to and extending around a peripheral edge of the respective fuel injection port. A spring finger is coupled to an interior surface of the ferrule and extends toward a centerline of the fuel injection port to form a seal with the fuel injector assembly.

  • Patent number: 10108933
Abstract: When a trading system receives a request from an employee to trade leave time for a related value, the trading system communicates with an employer system to request a value of leave time accrued by the employee. The employer system transmits the value of leave time to the trading system, and the trading system converts the value of leave time into a related value. Through the trading system, the employee can use the related value to purchase items from one or more merchants.

  • Publication number: 20180258376
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for recovering beer during a beer brewing process. In the method, yeast entrained in beer 36 is recovered from a fermentation step 32. The yeast is separated from the beer to provide recovered beer 42. The recovered beer 42 is passed through an ultraviolet (UV) photo-sterilization unit 46, to provide sterilized recovered beer 48 which is recycled to the fermentation step 32. The invention uses ultraviolet light to achieve a microbially safe beer recovered from surplus yeast, and the recovered beer is recycled back to the brewing process, thereby saving financially as well as water loss.
