  • Patent number: 10414678
Abstract: A wastewater treatment system is provided having a pretreatment tank which receives wastewater from a wastewater source, and an aeration tank which is in fluid communication with the pretreatment tank. A recirculation pump is carried in the aeration tank and returns wastewater from the aeration tank to the pretreatment tank. The recirculation pump returns the wastewater according to a recirculation ratio R:I where R is the volumetric flow rate of wastewater through the recirculation pump and I is average volumetric flow rate of wastewater entering the pretreatment tank. A control panel cycles the recirculation pump on and off according to the recirculation ratio.

  • Publication number: 20190264293
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a streamlined sample preparation process, VERA (Viral Enrichment by Reducing Artifacts), to tilt total genomic material in favor of DNA/RNA viral genomes. This reduction of host genomic artifacts can be completed in <8 hours from sample acquisition. Using a rapid library preparation protocol (˜1.5 minutes) and real-time nanopore sequencing, potential viral contamination, for example RNA viral contamination, can be identified in less than one workday from sample acquisition.

  • Patent number: 10354234
Abstract: Described is a method and system for single point deposit of checks. First, a computer scans each of a plurality of checks to generate digitized images thereof, the plurality of checks including at least one of non-consumer checks and consumer checks. After scanning the checks, the computer generates a master file including a record for each check which includes the digitized image of the corresponding check and a data portion including data obtained from a MICR line of the corresponding check. Once the masterfile is created, it is sorted into first and second sub-files based on the digitized images and/or the data portions. The first sub-file includes only the non-consumer checks and the second sub-file includes the consumer checks. The records of the first sub-file are processed according to a non-consumer check procedure. The records of the second sub-file are processed according to a consumer check procedure or the non-consumer check procedure.

  • Patent number: 10035258
Abstract: A method of retrieving a vial from a carrier includes the steps of: contacting a vial contained within a carrier with a gripper assembly to shift the position of the container to one end of the carrier and to adjust the position of the carrier on a platform from a diverted position to a retrieval position; lifting the vial from the carrier with the gripper assembly; and returning the vial to the carrier with the gripper assembly. Such a method can improve the accuracy and precision of moving the vial to and from the carrier for dispensing.

  • Publication number: 20180143255
Abstract: A method of screening a battery for failure mechanisms is provided. The method may include activating an electrochemical cell. Within 5 minutes to two hours of activating the cell, the open circuit voltage of the cell is measured over a period of time to determine a voltage versus time function. The cell is then screened for the presence of a failure mechanism by checking the voltage versus time function for a failure criteria.

  • Patent number: 9886558
Abstract: A system and method for creating a unique alias associated with an individual identified in a health care database such that health care data, and particularly pharmaceutical-related data, can be efficiently gathered and analyzed. The system has a first store for storing at least one record where each record includes a plurality of identification fields which when concatenated uniquely identify an individual, and at least one health care field corresponding to health care data associated with the individual. The system also has a second data store, and a processor. The processor selects a record of the first data store, then selects a subset of the plurality of identification fields within the selected record, and concatenates the selected subset of identification fields. Then the processor stores the concatenated identification fields in a record in the second store with at least one health care field from the selected record of the first data store.
