  • Publication number: 20130279898
Abstract: A method for verifying the integrity of a communication link is disclosed herein. In selected embodiments, such a method may include detecting, during normal operation of a communication link, a condition indicative of a high failure rate (HFR) on the communication link. The method may further include placing the communication link in an HFR state as a result of the condition. While in HFR state, the method may repeatedly transmit test I/Os over the communication link. The method may then automatically exit HFR state and resume normal operation on the communication link when one or more of the following has occurred: a selected number of test I/Os have been successfully transmitted over the communication link, and a number of test I/Os have been successfully transmitted over the communication link for a selected period of time. A corresponding system, apparatus, and computer program product are also disclosed and claimed herein.

  • Publication number: 20130270248
Abstract: The invention relates generally to welding and, more specifically, to welding wires for arc welding, such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) or Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW). In one embodiment, a tubular welding wire includes a sheath and a core. Further, the core includes a carbon source and an agglomerate having a Group I or Group II compound, silicon dioxide, and titanium dioxide. Additionally, the carbon source and the agglomerate together comprise less than 10% of the core by weight.

  • Patent number: 8551898
Abstract: The embodiments described herein relate to chemically and mechanically durable glass compositions and glass articles formed from the same. In another embodiment, a glass composition may include from about 70 mol. % to about 80 mol. % SiO2; from about 3 mol. % to about 13 mol. % alkaline earth oxide; X mol. % Al2O3; and Y mol. % alkali oxide. The alkali oxide may include Na2O in an amount greater than about 8 mol. %. A ratio of Y:X may be greater than 1 and the glass composition may be free of boron and compounds of boron. In some embodiments, the glass composition may also be free of phosphorous and compounds of phosphorous. Glass articles formed from the glass composition may have at least a class S3 acid resistance according to DIN 12116, at least a class A2 base resistance according to ISO 695, and a type HGA1 hydrolytic resistance according to ISO 720.

  • Publication number: 20130213848
Abstract: The present invention is based, at least in part, on the identification of a pharmaceutical container formed, at least in part, of a glass composition which exhibits a reduced propensity to delaminate, i.e., a reduced propensity to shed glass particulates. As a result, the presently claimed containers are particularly suited for storage of pharmaceutical compositions and, specifically, a pharmaceutical solution comprising a pharmaceutically active ingredient, for example, HUMALOG (insulin lispro), HUMALOG MIX 75-25 (insulin lispro), HUMALOG MIX 50-50 (insulin lispro), HUMILIN 70-30 (insulin), HUMILIN N (insulin), HUMULIN R (insulin) or GEMZAR (gemcitabine).

  • Publication number: 20130212567
Abstract: Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to generating and caching software code. In aspects, a target device may receive software to install. The software may include source code that has not been compiled. The target device may install the software and indicate the source code of the package is to be compiled into intermediate or executable code that is persistently stored. If the target device receives a request to execute the software prior to it being compiled, the target device may compile and execute the software without delay. If the target device receives a request to execute the software after it is compiled, the target device may obtain and execute the compiled code. The behavior above may also be applied to scripting code obtained from a server remote to the target device.

  • Patent number: 8495329
Abstract: An object reference is tagged with an isolation permission modifier. At least two permissions can be included, and in an example three permissions are included. In implementing the permissions, type modifiers for controlling access to type members through references pointing at an object are defined. One of the type modifiers is associated with each occurrence of a type name. Each of the of type modifiers defines a different access permission to restrict operations on the object to which the reference points.

  • Publication number: 20130174136
Abstract: An approach is provided in which a computer system receives a request to utilize a locale package for which to display information on a display. The computer system determines that the locale package is not installed on the computer system's operating system and, as such, sends a request to a locale service for a locale source file. The computer system receives the locale source file from the locale service and utilizes the received locale source file to generate the locale package. In turn, the computer system installs the generated locale package on the operating system.

  • Publication number: 20130174027
Abstract: An approach is provided in which a computer system receives a selection of a first set of information included on a first page of data. The computer system generates a locale package that includes one or more display format parameters that correspond to the format of the selected information. In turn, the computer system subsequently displays a second set of information on a second page of data based upon the one or more display format parameters included in the generated locale package.
