  • Publication number: 20050136364
Abstract: Solid particle dispersions of blocked developers useful in imaging elements can be made with substantially improved stability to particle growth by dispersing the blocked developer of interest in the presence of a relatively small amount of an additional blocked developer that is structurally similar to the main blocked developer of interest. This additional blocked developer can be combined with the main blocked developer of interest prior to dispersing the main blocked developer of interest, i.e., prior to milling in the case of milled dispersions, and prior to precipitation in the case of pH or solvent precipitated dispersions.

  • Publication number: 20050055575
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for passing configuration information over a network. In one embodiment, the configuration information is passed between a DHCP server and a DHCP client and includes parameters not formally defined within DHCP. The parameters are therefore encoded into a vendor-specific portion of a DHCP message using at least one triplet comprising a code field, a length field, and a value field. The value field comprises a set of one or more name-value pairs. The code field includes an indication of encryption of the value field. In another embodiment, a fixed-function appliance device is attached to a network, and is booted using boot code and a configuration stored locally to the device. The device then downloads a network configuration, which is compared to the locally stored configuration. If the network configuration is different from the locally stored configuration, the network configuration is stored locally to the device.

  • Publication number: 20050033166
Abstract: A method for reducing speckle in an ultrasonic image formed from a digitized scan line including linearly arranged signal intensity data points obtained from ultrasonic energy reflected by structures within a body. The scan line is divided into intensity pixels. Each intensity pixel includes at least one data point. A raw intensity level and a feature gain factor are determined for each intensity pixel. A corrected intensity level is calculated for each intensity pixel by multiplying the raw intensity level for each intensity pixel by the corresponding feature gain factor. The corrected intensity level of each intensity pixel is displayed.
