  • Patent number: 7815413
Abstract: A wheelchair lift for use in conjunction with a vehicle having a floor. The lift includes a power-actuating system, a platform assembly having first and second platform sections, a linking assembly having first and second vertical arms connected to the platform assembly, and first and second fold-facilitating links connecting the first and second vertical arms, respectively, to the first and second platform sections. The linking assembly connects the power-actuating system to the platform assembly. During a folding process, the first and second fold-facilitating links cause the first platform section to pivot with respect to the second platform section and the first vertical arm to move with respect to the second vertical arm.

  • Publication number: 20090218512
Abstract: A keyboard and touchpad or mouse UV treatment system with optical sensor and inclined slide is described. A proximity sensor, microcontroller firmware, and motorized mechanism allow activation of the sanitization cycle by personnel with contaminated hands without risk of additional spreading of pathogens to other personnel and patients. The inclined slide provides stability when operated on a desk, and the microcontroller and optical sensor determine the proper exposure time to compensate for lamp aging and variations in lamp output.

  • Patent number: 7467917
Abstract: The track assembly includes top plate 204, which incorporates the tracks 206. In FIG. 18, dashed lines have been added to show the portion of the top plate 204 that is used as the track 206 for the rollers 214. The interaction of the rollers 214 and track 216 is similar to the interaction of rollercoaster wheels and their associated track. In operation, small vertical rollers 214c ride against the side edge of top plate 204 (as can be seen in FIGS. 17a and 30a), small horizontal rollers 214b ride against the underside of top plate 204 (as can be seen in FIG. 30a), and the large horizontal roller 214a rides on the top of top plate 204 (as can be seen in FIG. 30a). This allows the moving tower 202 to travel from one end of the track assembly 200 to the other. As is described above, this rolling movement takes place when the platform 13 is folded and pulls the first vertical arm 42, and, therefore, the moving tower 202 inwardly.

  • Publication number: 20070237671
Abstract: Products and methods for treating or sanitizing a target item to reduce or eliminate biological microorganisms in or on the target item. The target item is contacted with a moist sanitizing gas mixture to effectively reduce the presence of biological microorganisms without adversely affecting the quality of the target item. The moist sanitizing gas mixture of the invention is particularly useful for treating food products. The moist sanitizing gas mixture of the current invention may be formed by humidifying a dry gas and then contacting the target item with the humidified gas containing a sanitizing agent. Furthermore, the invention provides for chilling the target item, particularly food items, before exposure to the moist sanitizing gas mixture to preserve the fresh appearance, taste, and aroma of the target item.
