  • Publication number: 20250083372
Abstract: An apparatus and method for producing oriented polymer films are disclosed. The apparatus includes a curved enclosure configured to rotate and a flow obstacle. The curved enclosure has an interior volume with an opening at one end. The flow obstacle extends through the opening and interior volume, with one end rigidly coupled to a mounting plate. The flow obstacle's position is adjustable to contact the interior surface of the curved enclosure, defining a gap between them. The method involves introducing a material into the curved enclosure, adjusting the flow obstacle's position, and rotating the curved enclosure to generate an extensional flow within the material. The apparatus and method may be used for producing two-dimensional polymer films and can incorporate features such as inert gas flushing, heating systems, and various blade configurations for the flow obstacle.

  • Patent number: 12148097
Abstract: Methods and systems for estimation of a 3D hand pose are disclosed. A 2D image containing a detected hand is processed using a U-net network to obtain a global feature vector and a heatmap for the keypoints of the hand. Information from the global feature vector and the heatmap are concatenated to obtain a set of input tokens that are processed using a transformer encoder to obtain a first set of 2D keypoints representing estimated 2D locations of the keypoints in a first view. The first set of 2D keypoints are inputted as a query to a transformer decoder, to obtain a second set of 2D keypoints representing estimated 2D locations of the keypoints in a second view. The first and second sets of 2D keypoints are aggregated to output the set of estimated 3D keypoints.

According to the method, respective target values of a plurality of attributes of a target entity are obtained. Representations of a plurality of leaf nodes of a decision tree are obtained. Each of the representations indicates respective statistic values of a plurality of attributes of historical entities and a statistic prediction result determined from historical prediction results output at a respective one of the plurality of leaf nodes for the historical entities. Distance measures between the target entity and the plurality of leaf nodes are determined based on the target values and the statistic values indicated by the representations of the plurality of leaf nodes. A target prediction result for the target entity is determined based on the distance measures and the statistic prediction results of the historical entities.

  • Patent number: 11949996
Abstract: A device for estimating a scene illumination color for a source image is configured to: determine a set of candidate illuminants and for each of the candidate illuminants, determine a respective correction of the source image; for each of the candidate illuminants, apply the respective correction to the source image to form a corresponding set of corrected images; for each corrected image from the set of corrected images, implement a trained data-driven model to estimate a respective probability of achromaticity of the respective corrected image; and based on the estimated probabilities of achromaticity for the set of corrected images, obtain a final estimate of the scene illumination color for the source image. This approach allows for the evaluation of multiple candidate illuminates to determine an estimate of the scene illumination color.
