  • Publication number: 20200365453
Abstract: A method comprises depositing a barrier layer on a dielectric layer to prevent oxidation of a metal layer to be deposited by electroplating due to an oxide present in the dielectric layer and depositing a doped liner layer on the barrier layer to bond with the metal layer to be deposited on the liner layer by the electroplating. The dopant forms a protective passivation layer on a surface of the liner layer and dissolves during the electroplating so that the metal layer deposited on the liner layer by the electroplating bonds with the liner layer. The dopant reacts with the dielectric layer and forms a layer of a compound between the barrier layer and the dielectric layer. The compound layer prevents oxidation of the barrier layer and the liner layer due to the oxide present in the dielectric layer and adheres the barrier layer to the dielectric layer.

  • Publication number: 20200363643
Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to dynamically controlling light sources on an optically trackable peripheral device. One disclosed example provides a near-eye display device comprising an image sensor, a communications subsystem, a logic subsystem, and a storage subsystem. The storage subsystem stores instructions executable by the logic subsystem to control a peripheral device comprising a plurality of light sources by receiving image data from the image sensor, identifying in the image data a constellation of light sources formed by a subset of light sources of the peripheral device, and based upon the constellation of light sources identified, send to the peripheral device via the communications subsystem constellation information related to the constellation of light sources identified.

  • Patent number: 10822248
Abstract: A water filtration device comprising a drum housing a removable canister containing a replaceable water filter media. A pair of lifting handle/media stops, connected to the removable canister, pivotally secure the replaceable water filter media, enabling a user to lift the removable canister from the drum and remove the replaceable water filter media. The drum is located along and connected to a water circulating line comprising a water supply line and a water discharge line. Unfiltered water is circulated into the water filtration device, creating the filtered water circulating into the water discharge line to the decorative water feature thereby re-circulating the unfiltered water from the water filtration device as filtered water back through a decorative water feature to a water feature terminus. As unfiltered water is pumped from the water feature terminus, it again passes through the replaceable water filter media.

  • Patent number: 10796275
Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) may be configured and deployed to maintain inventory and retrieve products for delivery. The UAVs can be equipped with a plurality of sensors used to assess the condition of inventory items, report the condition to a central control, and to retrieve inventory items. The UAVs can scan fruits and vegetables, for example, to determine the current ripeness. The UAV can then harvest the items if ready or provide a status update if they are not ready. The UAVs can be used in conjunction with transporters and harvesters to deliver products from the field or warehouse to a central control or directly to the customer. In scanning the products for readiness, the UAVs can also detect issues such as spoilage, fungus, and pests. This information can be used for the specific application of treatments.

  • Publication number: 20200302241
Abstract: A system and method are provided for training a machine learning system. In an embodiment, the system generates a three-dimensional model of an environment using a video sequence that includes individual frames taken from a variety of perspectives and environmental conditions. An object in the environment is identified and labeled, in some examples, by an operator, and a three-dimensional model of the object is created. Training data for the machine learning system is created by applying the label to the individual video frames of the video sequence, or by applying a rendering of the three-dimensional model to additional images or video sequences.
