  • Publication number: 20210233175
Abstract: A disclosed system, method and computer readable storage medium includes mechanism for controlling cascade price movements in an electronic trading system. Price limits control the prices at which traders can place orders. An upper price limit prevents traders from placing orders above the upper limit and a lower price limit prevents traders from placing orders below the lower limit. The gap between the upper limit and the indicative marked price as well as the gap between lower limit and the indicative market price is controlled so as to cause a breaking effect on very rapidly changing market price.

  • Publication number: 20210183102
Abstract: Raycast-based calibration techniques are described for determining calibration parameters associated with components of a head mounted display (HMD) of an augmented reality (AR) system having one or more off-axis reflective combiners. In an example, a system comprises an image capture device and a processor executing a calibration engine. The calibration engine is configured to determine correspondences between target points and camera pixels based on images of the target acquired through an optical system, the optical system including optical surfaces and an optical combiner. Each optical surface is defined by a difference of optical index on opposing sides of the surface. At least one calibration parameter for the optical system is determined by mapping rays from each camera pixel to each target point via raytracing through the optical system, the raytracing being based on the index differences, shapes, and positions of the optical surfaces relative to the one or more cameras.

  • Publication number: 20210183131
Abstract: Aspects relate to tracing rays in 3-D scenes that comprise objects that are defined by or with implicit geometry. In an example, a trapping element defines a portion of 3-D space in which implicit geometry exist. When a ray is found to intersect a trapping element, a trapping element procedure is executed. The trapping element procedure may comprise marching a ray through a 3-D volume and evaluating a function that defines the implicit geometry for each current 3-D position of the ray. An intersection detected with the implicit geometry may be found concurrently with intersections for the same ray with explicitly-defined geometry, and data describing these intersections may be stored with the ray and resolved.

  • Publication number: 20210169003
Abstract: Combine harvesters are provided for use in harvesting seed corn from corn plants in fields. In connection therewith, a method for producing such seed corn from the corn plants, for use in growing subsequent corn plants, includes measuring a moisture content of corn kernels on ears of the corn plants in the field and removing, by one of the combine harvesters, the ears of corn from the corn plants when the moisture content satisfies a threshold moisture content. The method then includes separating the corn kernels from cobs of the ears of corn onboard the combine harvester and collecting the separated corn kernels for use as seed corn, whereby one or more subsequent corn plants can be grown from the collected corn kernels.
