  • Patent number: 10788542
Abstract: A utility meter includes a meter housing that supports at least one current coil, a temperature sensor, and a processing circuit coupled to both. The current coil can be coupled to receive heat energy from a meter socket. The temperature sensor disposed generates a sensor signal based on a temperature within the meter housing. The processing circuit obtains the sensor signal and generates meter temperature information based at least in part thereon. The processing circuit also obtains a first predetermined threshold based on at least one of time of day information and date information. The processing circuit also determines whether an abnormal condition exists by comparing the meter temperature information to a value based on the first predetermined threshold, and generates an output signal to a memory, display or communication circuit responsive to determining that the abnormal condition exists.

  • Patent number: 10783605
Abstract: Aspects include a multistage collector to receive outputs from plural processing elements. Processing elements may comprise (each or collectively) a plurality of clusters, with one or more ALUs that may perform SIMD operations on a data vector and produce outputs according to the instruction stream being used to configure the ALU(s). The multistage collector includes substituent components each with at least one input queue, a memory, a packing unit, and an output queue; these components can be sized to process groups of input elements of a given size, and can have multiple input queues and a single output queue. Some components couple to receive outputs from the ALUs and others receive outputs from other components. Ultimately, the multistage collector can output groupings of input elements. Each grouping of elements (e.g., at input queues, or stored in the memories of component) can be formed based on matching of index elements.

  • Patent number: 10746994
Abstract: The technology provides decoupling an aspheric optical element from a birdbath optical element in a near-eye display (NED) device. One or more aspheric lens are used with a spherical birdbath reflective mirror in a projection light engine of a NED device. A projection light engine provides image light (or other information), by way of the spherical birdbath reflective mirror and at least one aspheric lens, to a near-eye display of the NED device. The spherical birdbath reflective mirror collimates and reflects the image light to an exit pupil external to the projection light engine. Decoupling the aspheric optical element from the spherical birdbath reflective mirror may enable high modulation transfer function (MTF) and improved manufacturability of the projection light engine. The NED device having aspheric optical elements decoupled from a birdbath optical element may be positioned by a support structure in a head-mounted display (HMD) or head-up display (HUD).

  • Publication number: 20200252383
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for credential protection. In one aspect, a method includes receiving an authentication credential and an authentication domain. A determination is made as to whether the authentication domain is permitted or unpermitted for authentication by the credential. If the domain is unpermitted, a data store is searched to identify a permitted domain for the credential. The credential is compared against credentials information associated with the domain to determine if it matches any of the associated credentials. If a match is found, an event is instantiated for the account.
