    Abstract: A method for controlling the temperature of transmission fluid in a motor vehicle includes operating in an automatic transmission fluid cooling mode, a heater priority mode entered by disabling automatic transmission fluid heating, and an automatic transmission fluid heating mode which includes sending hot engine coolant to a heat exchanger for heating the automatic transmission fluid by transferring heat from the hot engine coolant to the automatic transmission fluid. The method switches to from a heater priority mode to a transmission heating mode base on a number of sensed conditions including sensed automatic fluid transmission temperature. The method also includes an automatic transmission fluid temperature regulating mode including measuring an automatic transmission fluid temperature and switching between the cooling mode and the heating mode based measured temperature.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to create a migration mapping definition based upon computer program changes and use the migration mapping definition to migrate instance data from an older software version format to a newer software version format. A developer uses edit commands, such as mouse commands and keyboard commands, to update a computer program. For example, a software developer may upgrade “Application XYZ” from version 1.0 to version 2.0 in order to include a simpler approach to import images, as well as the ability to import newer image format types. As a developer updates a computer program using edit commands, the edit commands are stored in a migration mapping definition. In turn, the migration mapping definition is deployed, along with the updated computer program, to an end user. The end user then uses the migration mapping definition to migrate instance data generated by the original computer program to instance data that is usable by the updated computer program.

    Abstract: Moisture may build up inside an alcohol monitor that is securely attached to a human subject due to the inlet air from the subject's skin surface which constantly emits water vapor in the form of insensible skin perspiration. As the warm moist air which has very high humidity flows along the air flow path through decreasing temperatures within the alcohol monitor, moisture will be removed from the air through condensation. The condensation problem is solved by lowering the humidity level in the air sample by mixing the very humid air sample from the body with less humid ambient air, which increases the dew point for condensation. Increasing the dew point in the air sample means that there must be a greater change in temperature along the air flow path of the air sample in order to cause the moisture in the air sample to condense and become water.
