  • Patent number: 11078717
Abstract: This invention is directed toward an adjustable window for a garage door panel, where the window has an interior frame and an exterior frame. Both the interior and exterior frame have straight members that are secured to each other through the parts of the garage door that surround the opening with screws and screw receptacles. Connecting the frame members are adjustable corner braces that come in a variety of designs, with some being invisible after installation and others forming a decorative “corner” to the window.

  • Patent number: 10917503
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for processing a received data packet are provided. The method involves determining whether the received data packet is to be recorded and applying to the packet a virtual LAN identification tag from a first group of one or more predetermined virtual LAN identification tags if it is determined that the packet is to be recorded. A recording management system is also provided, including an apparatus and a forwarding network element. The forwarding network element is arranged to inspect as received data packet and determine a virtual LAN identification tag of the packet. The forwarding network element is further arranged to cops the data packet if the virtual LAN identification tag of the packet is in the first group and to send the copy of the data packet to a recording element.

  • Patent number: 10738262
Abstract: A method for improving wear control of a steel surface lubricated with a lubricating oil through the generation of thick tribofilms. The method includes: (i) using as the lubricating oil a formulated oil, the formulated oil having a composition comprising at least one lubricating oil base stock as a major component; and at least one lubricating oil additive, as a minor component; and (ii) forming a tribofilm on the steel surface. In time-step tribofilm formation measurements of the lubricating oil by a mini-traction machine (MTM) at constant slide-to-roll ratio (SRR), the saturation traction coefficient (fs), which correlates to tribofilm thickness on the steel surface, is greater than about 0.11. In the method of this disclosure, elongation of timing chain due to wear of chain link pins is less than about 0.07%, as determined by Ford Chain Wear (FCW) test conducted in accordance with ILSAC GF-6 specification. The lubricating oils are useful in internal combustion engines.

  • Patent number: 10716983
Abstract: Aspects disclosed herein relate to lacrosse heads and sidewalls thereof. The sidewalls include struts which reduce weight and/or reduces stresses which can lead to fatigue failure. In some embodiments, two struts are arranged on the sidewall such that they abut each other and have a similar angle in the ball stop end to scoop end direction of the sidewall, but the two struts cross over each other in a side-to-side direction. When force is applied in a certain direction, one of the struts may be primarily in compression, while its companion strut may be primarily in tension.

  • Patent number: 10458830
Abstract: A method for improving fuel efficiency testing precision in on-road vehicles. The method comprises: installing one or more dataloggers in one or more vehicles, each datalogger configured to receive fuel consumption data broadcast by an on-road vehicle's engine control unit (ECU); transmitting the fuel consumption data from the one or more dataloggers in the one or more on-road vehicles to a processor; and analyzing, using the processor, the fuel consumption data from the one or more dataloggers in the one or more on-road vehicles to determine fuel efficiency of the one or more on-road vehicles. The fuel consumption data comprises fuel rate data from the ECU which is transmitted through the one or more dataloggers, engine speed and other operating parameters from the ECU that are transmitted through the one or more dataloggers, torque sensor data which is transmitted through the one or more dataloggers, and traditional fuel log data.

  • Patent number: 10142437
Abstract: Multiple session initiation protocol (SIP) devices connected to a server via a network may attempt to initiate a process (such as SIP registration) at approximately the same time as each other, by sending SIP messages (e.g. “REGISTER” messages) towards the server substantially simultaneously. Depending on the number of devices and the resources of the server, the server may not be able to process all of the messages without crashing. An interposed network element, such as a session border controller (SBC), may prevent some of the messages from reaching the server, to stop the server from crashing. However, some messages may be of higher priority than others. The invention provides a way of differentiating between messages to assist in prioritising messages with higher priority over others.

  • Publication number: 20180037841
Abstract: Provided are lubricating engine oils including a lubricating oil base stock as a major component having a base oil viscosity at 100 deg. C. ranging from 4.5 to 7.5 cSt, and a carboxylic functionalized polymer dispersant with aromatic amine functionality, as a minor component, wherein the lubricating engine oils have a cold crank simulator viscosity at ?30 deg. C. of less than 8500 mPa·s. The lubricating engine oils may provide improved engine wear protection at equivalent fuel efficiency or improved fuel efficiency at equivalent engine wear protection compared to a lubricating engine oil containing a dispersant as a minor component other than the carboxylic functionalized polymer with aromatic amine functionality. Methods of making the lubricating engine oil are also provided. The lubricating engine oils are useful in internal combustion engines including direct injection, gasoline and diesel engines.

  • Publication number: 20160346655
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a mesh netting for a lacrosse head permits the production of reproducible three-dimensional shapes for lacrosse head pockets. The mesh netting may form a self-supporting three-dimensional shape, as knit, prior to being attached to a lacrosse head, and the mesh netting may be able to maintain its three-dimensional shape without additional materials, such as a coating, being added to the stands which form the netting. A three-dimensional warp knitting machine may be used to manufacture the mesh netting.

  • Publication number: 20140274849
Abstract: Disclosed are lubricating compositions comprised of a mineral oil base stock including one or more components selected from the group consisting a Group I base oil component, a Group II base oil component, and a Group III base oil component; and a minimal amount of a particular polyalphaolefin component. The lubricating compositions provide improved film thickness and wear properties relative to conventional mineral oil lubricants. In particular, the lubricating compositions provide improved film thickness and wear properties relative to conventional mineral oil lubricants, without the need of having to include additional polar additives to enhance wear and film thickness characteristics.

  • Patent number: 8812664
Abstract: An apparatus in a LAN has first and second hardware interfaces to connect to the LAN. First and second monitoring request messages are transmitted to one or more devices in a first VLAN and one or more devices in a second VLAN respectively, via both the first and second hardware interfaces. The monitoring request messages use the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) or the Neighbor Discovery Protocol (NDP). First and second monitoring response messages are received via the first and/or second hardware interfaces in response to the first and second monitoring request messages respectively. A selection is made between the first and second hardware interfaces for performing data communication, based on the first and second monitoring response messages. The selection is performed independently for data communication via the first and second VLANs based on at least one characteristic of the first and second monitoring response messages respectively.
