  • Publication number: 20180355561
Abstract: An impact-absorbing assembly includes a covering layer being one or more of artificial turf, rubber mats, polymer mats, short pile carpeting, particulate infill, wood chips, and ground rubber chips. Also included is a layer of underlayment panels positioned beneath the covering layer. The panels have a panel section with a plurality of drain holes formed therethrough. A top surface of the panels is configured to support the covering layer. A bottom surface of the panels has a plurality of bottom projections that cooperate to define bottom channels suitable to permit water flow across the bottom surface, the bottom channels being in fluid communication with the panel drain holes. The bottom projections define a first spring rate characteristic that is part of a first stage and a second spring rate characteristic is part of a second stage, the first stage having a smaller volume of material than the second stage.

  • Publication number: 20180332379
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to custom-fit in-ear audio devices. The custom-fit earpieces disclosed herein may include features providing superior retention in a user's ear while also maintaining desirable comfort and sound quality. The superior retention is generally provided by a curable filler disposed in a bladder that is deformed to conform to the shape of a user's outer ear as the filler material is cured. It has been found that a desired comfort level and sound quality can be achieved in a custom-fit earpiece by physically separating or at least partially decoupling the audio output member from other portions of the earpiece that are designed to enable the retention of the custom-fit earpiece within the user's ear.

  • Publication number: 20180291886
Abstract: A tubing assembly is provided that can comprise a plurality of tubes or lumens that can be disposed within a head of a peristaltic pump. The tubing assembly can provide a flow rate or volume capacity that is generally equal to or greater than that achieved with a comparable prior art tube while operating at higher pressures than that possible using the prior art tube. Further, in accordance with some embodiments, the tubing assembly can achieve a longer working life than a comparable prior art tube, and the load on the pump motor can be reduced such that the pump life is increased and/or a larger pump motor is not required to achieve such advantageous results.

  • Patent number: 10095822
Abstract: In one aspect, electronic design automation systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media are presented for adding a memory built-in self-test (MBIST) logic at register transfer level (RTL) or at netlist level into an integrated circuit (IC) design. In some embodiments, the MBIST logic is coupled to a physical memory module via a logical boundary of an intermediate level module that contains the physical memory module. The MBIST logic helps to keep intact integrity of the intermediate level module, making it more likely to meet any specified performance of the intermediate level module and reduce area overhead.

Abstract: An ice maker for forming ice having a refrigeration system, a water system and a controller. The refrigeration system includes a freeze plate in which ice is formed and a hot gas valve for harvesting the ice therefrom. A harvest sensor is triggered when at least a portion of the ice is harvested from the freeze plate and at least one temperature sensor measures a temperature that indicates that all of the ice has been harvested from the freeze plate. The temperature sensors may include a temperature sensor for measuring the refrigerant temperature at the evaporator outlet, the refrigerant temperature at the evaporator inlet, and/or the temperature of the freeze plate. The controller closes the hot gas valve in response from the triggering of the harvest sensor and the temperature measured by the temperature sensor(s) indicating that all of the ice has been harvested from the freeze plate.

  • Publication number: 20180279897
Abstract: Methods and systems for use of the Q-wave to R-wave interval to guide placement of a leadless cardiac pacemaker are disclosed. An implant delivery device is equipped with sensing electrodes to sense R-wave onset in a ventricle of a patient's heart to allow placement at a location of last or latest onset of the R-wave. Guidance tools are provided to assist in determination of the Q-wave to R-wave interval during implantation. For a chronic system, a cooperative approach is disclosed in which an implantable medical device and a leadless cardiac pacemaker exchange data to determine Q-wave to R-wave intervals and enhance cardiac resynchronization therapy delivery by the leadless cardiac pacemaker.

  • Publication number: 20180265433
Abstract: A process is present for increasing the yields of 1,3 butadiene. The process includes recovering 1,3 butadiene from a cracking unit that generates a crude C4 stream. The 1,3 butadiene is separated and the remaining C4 process stream components are further reacted and dehydrogenated to generate 1,3 butadiene in a subsequent process stream. The subsequent process stream is recycled to recover the additional 1,3 butadiene.

  • Patent number: RE47144
Abstract: Patrons at a restaurant or bar can pay at their table using credit cards, without involving the restaurant or bar cashier and/or wait staff. Patrons are assisted using this system in dividing the bill by displaying the amount due (including tax) and allowing each patron to enter the amount they wish to pay. When the initial bill is presented, a balance due will be displayed and the indication will be provided that the bill has yet to be paid in full. As each transaction is entered, a running total will be displayed indicating the remaining balance due. When the running total reaches zero, the bill is paid in full, and an indication will be provided, such as by illuminating a green indicator light or by displaying a balance due of $0.00.
