  • Publication number: 20190278439
Abstract: Indicators such as visible icons or other objects are presented on a display, with each indicator being associated with a respective profile that defines interactive events for which notifications are desired. Broadcast video is presented along with the indicators, and when an interactive event signal is received, if a profile indicates that a notification for that type of event is desired, the associated indicator is altered in appearance, e.g., by changing color, or motion, or other technique. If a profile does not indicate that the type of event should be notified, the corresponding indicator is not altered in appearance, e.g., can remain grayed out yet still visible.

  • Patent number: 10349375
Abstract: Determining a location for a non-access point device based on non-access point device emulation of an access point (AP) device is disclosed. A non-AP device can pass itself off as an actual AP device to piggyback of location reporting by user equipment (UE). Where a UE observes an emulated AP, e.g., a non-AP device masquerading as an AP device, the observance of the emulated AP can be reported, along with UE location information captured at the time of the observance, to a network database. The UE location information can be used to determine a location of the emulated AP. The location of the emulated AP can be retrieved from the database in response to a query identifying the emulated AP. This can enable the non-AP device to query its own location as observed by the UE. This can enable other devices to receive the location of the non-AP device.

  • Patent number: 10321556
Abstract: According to an example, an air dielectric printed circuit board (PCB) may include a first PCB layer including a first substrate and a first conductive layer formed of a first conductive material, and a second PCB layer including a second substrate and a second conductive layer formed of a second conductive material. The second conductive layer may be disposed in a directly facing configuration relative to the first conductive layer, and at a predetermined distance away from the first conductive layer to provide an air dielectric gap between the first and second conductive layers. The air dielectric PCB may further include a standoff that includes a first end and a second end that is opposite to the first end. The standoff may be attached to the first and second PCB layers respectively at the first and second ends thereof, and may include a predetermined length to maintain the predetermined distance.

  • Publication number: 20190145569
Abstract: Guide apparatus for an elongate member such as a pipeline or pipe. The apparatus comprising a plurality of first elements in the form of rings with central openings through which the elongate member extends. The first elements are interconnected by link members spaced around the outside of the first elements and locating in T-shaped cross section guide formations. The link members restrict the amount of pivotal movement between the first elements, and hence bending of the elongate member.

  • Patent number: 10262316
Abstract: A bank customer's electronic debit or credit card (“e-card”) automatically reports to the customer's CE device the receipt of transaction interrogations the e-card receives from a point of sale (POS) apparatus. The e-card may simply report to the CE device and respond to the interrogation, or it may await a signal from the CE device prior to responding to the interrogation.

  • Patent number: 10124654
Abstract: A windshield assembly includes a lower panel section pivotally connected to an upper panel section. The assembly is movable between an extended position, in which both sections are fully extended and substantially co-planar, and a pivoted position, in which the upper section is pivoted down to rest on top of the lower section. A pair of magnets are positioned on the upper section proximate the top edge of the upper section, and a second pair of complementary magnets or members made of a material that is magnetically attracted to the first pair of magnets are positioned on the lower section proximate the bottom edge of the lower section. When in the pivoted position, the magnets on the upper section engage the lower section magnets, thereby keeping the upper section secured on the lower section and preventing unwanted movement of the upper section as the golf car travels.

  • Publication number: 20180233027
Abstract: A system and method for adjusting the power mode in a monitoring device is based on the determination of the presence of a contra-indicator. If the contra indicator is present monitoring device is placed in a low power mode. If the contra indicator is not present the monitoring device is placed in a high power mode capable of transmitting a signal from the monitoring device. The activation of the monitoring device may be based on an environmental stimulus. The monitoring device may connect wirelessly to a wide area communication network if the contra-indicator is not present.
