  • Patent number: 9906782
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining the quality of video playback are provided. Errors in video playback may be detected at any point of transmission at which video can be extracted regardless of the means of transmission or the type of device through which transmission occurs thus allowing for testing of a plurality of devices or transmission means with the same testing system. Such devices or transmission means may provide direct or indirect input for analysis and identification of frame glitches, pulldown performance, frame jitter, frame judder, frame skip, frame tear, audio synchronization, quality comparison and MOS scoring.

  • Publication number: 20170318658
Abstract: According to an example, an air dielectric printed circuit board (PCB) may include a first PCB layer including a first substrate and a first conductive layer formed of a first conductive material, and a second PCB layer including a second substrate and a second conductive layer formed of a second conductive material. The second conductive layer may be disposed in a directly facing configuration relative to the first conductive layer, and at a predetermined distance away from the first conductive layer to provide an air dielectric gap between the first and second conductive layers. The air dielectric PCB may further include a standoff that includes a first end and a second end that is opposite to the first end. The standoff may be attached to the first and second PCB layers respectively at the first and second ends thereof, and may include a predetermined length to maintain the predetermined distance.

  • Patent number: 9786431
Abstract: An electrical power and/or electrical signal transmission system for transmitting electrical power and/or electrical signals from a location on a first side of a metallic wall to a location on a second side of the metallic wall includes a transmitting apparatus having an electrical source and a first transformer. A receiving apparatus has a receiving module for receiving electrical power and/or electrical signals and a second transformer. First and second ends of a primary winding of the second transformer are electrically connected to respective spaced locations on the second, opposite, side of the metallic wall for picking up electrical power and/or electrical signals from the metallic wall. The receiving module is electrically connected to a secondary winding of the second transformer to enable electrical power and/or electrical signals to be transmitted from the electrical source to the receiving module.

  • Publication number: 20170234746
Abstract: A method of reading and quantifying pressure points or bumps or a product outline to extract a pattern that, when decoded, uniquely defines a product or class of products by defining the theoretical centers of applied pressure, determining the spatial relationship between more than one center or a product outline to define which pattern belongs to which product, and correlating each pattern with templates of stored patterns to determine what product is represented by each respective pattern.

  • Patent number: 9684884
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying one or more objects hung from a display peg are described herein. The system may include a display peg comprising a first and second electrically conductive terminal. An object comprising a resistive element may be hung from the display peg such that the resistive element is in electrical communication with the terminals. A source may be configured to provide a current that flows from the first terminal through the resistive element to the second terminal. An electronic device may be configured to detect the electrical current flowing from the second terminal. The system may be configured to identify the type of object depending on the detected electrical current.
