  • Publication number: 20080145111
Abstract: Provided is an imaging cartridge with a universal body sculpted to mate with the imaging cartridge-receiving cavity of a plurality of imaging machine models. The universal body of the imaging cartridge enables the cartridge to be used with imaging machines made by different manufacturers, and different imaging machine models made by a common manufacturer. A plurality of recesses is formed in the leading end of the imaging cartridge body that accepts protuberances in an imaging machine's cartridge-receiving cavity and enables the cartridge to mate with a plurality of printers.

  • Publication number: 20080096852
Abstract: Topical ophthalmic compositions and methods for treating dry eye are described. The compositions and methods of the invention are based on the finding that the oculosurface selective properties of the glucocorticoid rimexolone make this anti-inflammatory agent particularly well-suited for treating dry eye. As a result of the limited ability of rimexolone to penetrate the cornea, a high portion of the drug remains on the surface of the eye, which is the primary locus of the inflammatory conditions associated with dry eye. This enables a very low concentration of drug to be utilized, which in turn reduces the potential for elevations of intraocular pressure and cataract formation.

  • Patent number: 7362988
Abstract: A toner cartridge wherein the waste bin and the hopper are attached to one another in a non-pivotal interconnection. The parts are attached via a hopper wheel horizontal retainer and a hopper wheel vertical lock formed integrally with the waste bin. The hopper wheel horizontal retainer and the hopper wheel vertical lock are disposed in cooperative relation to one another and are adapted to engage a hopper wheel that forms a part of the hopper. To assemble the toner cartridge, the waste bin is held above the hopper so that the hopper wheel horizontal retainer and the hopper wheel vertical lock are positioned directly above the hopper wheel. The waste bin is lowered until the hopper wheel horizontal retainer engages the hopper wheel and the hopper wheel vertical lock.

  • Patent number: 7356279
Abstract: Provided is a toner cartridge having a microcontroller configured to store data necessary to create a message authentication code required by the printer. The microcontroller contains data values capable of generating acceptable MACs for a plurality of printers. The microcontroller recognizes a variety of unique parameters displayed by the printer's processor to identify the printer being used. Once the printer is identified, the microcontroller loads the data values associated with the printer and generates an acceptable MAC to enable printer operation.

  • Publication number: 20080078268
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for the preparation of a metal powder having a purity at least as high as the starting powder and having an oxygen content of 10 ppm or less comprising heating said metal powder containing oxygen in the form of an oxide, with the total oxygen content being from 50 to 3000 ppm, in an inert atmosphere at a pressure of from 1 bar to 10?7 to a temperature at which the oxide of the metal powder becomes thermodynamically unstable and removing the resulting oxygen via volatilization. The metal powder is preferably selected from the group consisting of tantalum, niobium, molybdenum, hafnium, zirconium, titanium, vanadium, rhenium and tungsten. The invention also relates to the powders produced by the process and the use of such powders in a cold spray process.

  • Publication number: 20080041055
Abstract: A combined circulation condenser for a steam cycle apparatus is disclosed. The steam cycle apparatus includes a steam generator with a port for receiving a fluid. The steam generator presents heat to the fluid to generate steam that is directed out another port, which presents the steam to a turbine to generate electrical power. The turbine has an outlet that directs an exhaust steam into a condenser. A fluid flow system is inside the condenser, which directs cooling water along a pathway through the condenser so that the cooling water cools the exhaust steam, forming condensate. A condensate pump collects and pumps the condensate along another pathway through the condenser so that the condensate can additionally cool the exhaust steam. Simultaneously, the exhaust steam warms the condensate. This pathway directs the condensate to a feed pump, which pumps the condensate back to the steam generator through the generator's input port.

  • Publication number: 20080034942
Abstract: The method provides luthiers of fretted instrument with a novel approach for installing frets with increased accuracy. The method is an improvement in calculation of fret placement over the “Rule of 18” because it relies on the length of the vibrating string. This method is more pronounced at the end of the fret board closest to the bridge due to the angle formed by the string when depressed with respect to the axis of the fret board. With respect to the twelve-step octave, the scale length is multiplied by the constant of the twelfth root of 0.5 to calculate the length of the string from fret contact to saddle contact for the next tonal step.

  • Patent number: 7319833
Abstract: A toner cartridge adapted to fit within a toner cartridge-receiving cavity of a printer. The body of the cartridge comprises a front section, which houses the photoconductive drum common in all printers, capable of being biased in relation to the rest of the cartridge which houses the developer roller. The placement of a mechanical biasing element, or developer roller preserver, between the main body and front section creates a gap between the rigid photoconductive drum and the relatively soft developer roller. This gap prevents a “flat spot” from forming along the length of the developer roller during periods of long storage or non-use.

  • Publication number: 20070291453
Abstract: An improved rack unit assembly having at least one receptacle, such as a power receptacle, includes a cover for removable attachment to the assembly, where the panel includes an opening in the panel for permitting a connector on a cord, such as a power cord, to extend through the panel to releasably engage the at least one receptacle in the assembly, and a channel originating at the opening for receiving and guiding the cord. Optionally, the channel in the cover may include tabs along the channel for keeping the cord in the channel and the opening of the cover for the rack unit may include a means of strain relief for preventing the connector on the cord from inadvertently disengaging from the receptacle.

  • Publication number: 20070281901
Abstract: RNA interference is provided for inhibition of tumor necrosis factor ? (TNF?) by silencing TNF? cell surface receptor TNF receptor-1 (TNFR1) mRNA expression, or by silencing TNF? converting enzyme (TACE/ADAM17) mRNA expression. Silencing such TNF? targets, in particular, is useful for treating patients having a TNF?-related condition or at risk of developing a TNF?-related condition such as the ocular conditions dry eye, allergic conjunctivitis, or ocular inflammation, or such as dermatitis, rhinitis, or asthma, for example.

  • Publication number: 20070276963
Abstract: An improved I/O device, such as an audio/video router, includes at least a motherboard, such as a matrix board, including a plurality of locating slots and a plurality of connectors located on the motherboard such that when the motherboard is mounted in the I/O device, the plurality of connectors are positioned horizontally across the I/O device. The I/O device further includes a plurality of input/output (I/O) cards, such as audio/video cards, each of the I/O cards including a locating slot and two I/O connectors. In an I/O device of the present invention, the locating slot of each of the I/O cards mates with a respective locating slot of the motherboard such that the two I/O connectors of each of the I/O cards vertically straddle a respective connector of the motherboard thus maximizing a number of inputs and outputs able to be provided in the rear of the I/O device.

  • Publication number: 20070264043
Abstract: Provided is a printer cartridge having a resilient pliable body. The resilient pliable body of the printer cartridge conforms to obstructions located in different positions inside the printer cartridge receiving cavity of different models and brands of printers. When the resilient pliable front of the printer cartridge contacts an obstruction in the cartridge receiving cavity of a printer, it is displaced in that area so that it is not an obstruction any longer, allowing the printer cartridge to fit and operate in multiple brands and families of printers.
