  • Patent number: 8589072
Abstract: A navigation system comprises at least one processor, a satellite navigation receiver operatively coupled to the processor and configured to receive a plurality of navigation signals from one or more navigation satellites, and an inertial measurement unit operatively coupled to the processor and configured to generate inertial measurement data. An extended Kalman filter is configured to receive the plurality of navigation signals and the inertial measurement data. A processor readable storage medium includes instructions executable by the processor to combine the plurality of satellite signals with the inertial measurement data in the extended Kalman filter to generate a navigation solution. The plurality of navigation signals includes L1 pseudorange measurements, L2 pseudorange measurements, L1 accumulated carrier phase measurements, and L2 accumulated carrier phase measurements.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: November 19, 2013
    Assignee: Honeywell International, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20130103344
Abstract: An attitude estimator system is provided. The attitude estimator system includes a navigation system, a Kalman filter, and a form observations module. The navigation system receives input from a first accelerometer and gyroscope, a second accelerometer and gyroscope, and a third accelerometer and gyroscope. The form observations module receives input from at least one high performance accelerometer and/or gyroscope; forms and outputs at least one of velocity-derived observations and attitude-derived observations.

  • Publication number: 20120325956
Abstract: A handle and method for unrolling and deploying a sheet of material from a roll are provided. In a first configuration, the handle includes a rigid rod and a graspable arm that form an open quadrilateral frame. The frame is assembled to pierce through an open core of the roll of sheet material. The graspable arm may be manually manipulated while the roll of sheet material is constrained by the rod. In a second orientation, components of the frame are differently coupled to form an extended arm whereby an edge of the sheet material is captured at a far end of the extended arm, and a user may thus unroll the sheet material by forcing the far end of the extended arm to pull the sheet material away from the sheet material roll. A cap cylinder may couple the far end of the extended arm with the sheet material.

  • Patent number: 8136292
Abstract: A method and device for supporting a sheet of material is provided optionally for plant support and/or protection. A fencing device includes a rigid post and two or more flexible arms. A shading material, or a protective barrier material, such as a wire mesh, a plastic netting or a deer netting material, or a solar energy collection panel may be attached to distal ends of the flexible arms and may extend for seven feet or more from a ground plane to a top height of flexible arms above the ground plane. Flags may extend vertically above the barrier material to further discourage intrusion by animals. Horizontal lines may be extended from a plurality of fencing posts to even further discourage intrusion by animals and/or to support the barrier material. A trellising device may be coupled with and above another trellising device to provide layers of shading and plant support.
