  • Patent number: 7949669
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are provided for self-targeted content delivery are provided. Content objects can be delivered to a user and indications from the user to mark any content object can be received thereby generating standard data structures to be placed into a central data store. At a later time, on various other systems, a content guide may be provided to the user showing the content related to the standard data structures placed in the central store. The user may mark digital content as it is encountered via television, internet, mobile devices, automobile terminals, public terminals, kiosks, or otherwise. Standardized data structures can allow the marking to operate across platforms, operating systems, hardware, and delivery modes. Content guides created from data structures associated with marked content can allow the marked content to be recalled and accessed from any of various other systems at a later time.

  • Publication number: 20110119059
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for selecting a speech recognition model in a standardized speech recognition infrastructure. The system receives speech from a user, and if a user-specific supervised speech model associated with the user is available, retrieves the supervised speech model. If the user-specific supervised speech model is unavailable and if an unsupervised speech model is available, the system retrieves the unsupervised speech model. If the user-specific supervised speech model and the unsupervised speech model are unavailable, the system retrieves a generic speech model associated with the user. Next the system recognizes the received speech from the user with the retrieved model. In one embodiment, the system trains a speech recognition model in a standardized speech recognition infrastructure. In another embodiment, the system handshakes with a remote application in a standardized speech recognition infrastructure.

  • Publication number: 20100332466
Abstract: A search based on one or more search terms is performed, and a subset of the returned search results is displayed. It is determined that a user has altered the position of an object located in multidimensional space. A first dimension of the multi-dimensional space corresponds to a variation in degree of a first filter criterion, and a second dimension corresponds to a variation in degree of a second filter criterion. The first and second filter criterion are different from the search terms and are not determined based on the search results. A value corresponding to each of the filter criteria is identified based on the position of the object in the first and second dimension, respectively. The search results are filtered based on each value to generate a second subset of the search results.

  • Patent number: 7814115
Abstract: A search query comprising a plurality of search terms is used to generate a plurality of search results. The search query, in its entirety, is represented by an object in multi-dimensional space. The multi-dimensional space comprises a plurality of dimensions to represent a plurality of search criteria, respectively. The object has a position in the multi-dimensional space based on values of the search criteria. The object is manipulated simultaneously in at least two dimensions of the multi-dimensional space to simultaneously modify respective values of at least two of the search criteria. The search results are filtered based on the modified values of the search criteria to produce a subset of the search results, and the subset is displayed.

  • Patent number: 7730397
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for presenting structured digital content items. A file is read that defines a hierarchical structure. A display region is divided into regions and each region is mapped to a category within the hierarchical structure. An x-coordinate and a y-coordinate, corresponding to a location on the display, are received. The category that maps to the x-coordinate and the y-coordinate is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20090235160
Abstract: Stylized digital content is rapidly created by reading a first file and a plurality of second files. The first file contains a digital content item and each second file contains at least one style definition. At least one display instance of stylized digital content is created by applying the style definition of one of the plurality of second files to the digital content item of the first file. The at least one display instance is mapped to a location on the display device. A location is received from a pointing device and one of the plurality of display instances is displayed based on the received location.

  • Patent number: 7404142
Abstract: A structure file defines a hierarchical structure and a plurality of content files each define at least one digital content item. Each content file can be related to a position within the hierarchical structure, thereby organizing the content files into the hierarchical structure. To present categories and digital content items rapidly, categories are read from the structure file and are mapped to areas on a display. A location on the display is received and a category corresponding to the received location is displayed. After a category is selected, second files corresponding to the selected category are mapped to areas on the display. A location on the display is received and at least one digital content item of the second file corresponding to the received location is displayed.
