Abstract: The present invention provides for a breathing device comprising a housing, oxygen source, water trap, activation mechanism, and breathing apparatus. Operation of the activation mechanism may commence the production of a gas comprising oxygen. The generated oxygen may be bubbled through the water trap prior to being provided to the breathing apparatus attached to the user. Some embodiments may comprise two separate oxygen sources configured to provide distinct flow rates from one another. Other embodiments may comprise a rotating catalyst container configured to evenly and rapidly distribute catalyst upon commencement of the oxygen production. Still other embodiments may comprise a convoluted section of tubing to aid in altering the temperature of the produced oxygen gas.

Abstract: The present invention provides a search method and system for matching a commodity to one or more applications for using the commodity. A plurality of properties associated with the commodity are identified. A collection of documents for searching for a plurality of combinations of said properties is then defined, wherein the combination includes a single property or multiple properties. The defined collection of documents is searched for all occurrences of the combination of properties, and the hits retrieved for those documents that include the properties. The hits are then associated with one or more subclasses of a classification scheme, and reviewed for those hits that include the properties of the commodity but not the commodity, wherein subclasses not including hits that include the commodity are matched as applications for the commodity.

Abstract: A system (108) for securing a database including a first and second tables is provided, where the first table includes a first key field and a first data field and the second table includes a second key field and a second data field. The first and second key fields specifying first and second key field entries having one common entry. The system (108) can replace the first key field entries with first adjusted key field entries based on first initialization vectors. The system (108) also replaces the second key field entries with second adjusted key field entries based on second initialization vectors different from the first initialization vectors. The system further encodes the first and the second adjusted key field entries based on index keys to generate an encrypted database. In the encrypted database, a value of the common entries in the first and second tables are different.

Abstract: A method for producing a replaceable fuser member including a thin, seamless or welded high temperature nickel sleeve, a base cushion positioned around the sleeve and an outside topcoat applied over the base cushion elastomer layer. The sleeve is replaceable on a machine mandrel positioned in an electrophotographic copying machine in a fuser section of the electrophotographic copying machine. The method includes the use of a mandrel having a coefficient of thermal expansion similar to that of the sleeve to support the sleeve during positioning of a cured base cushion layer around the sleeve and a cured topcoat layer over the cured base material.

Abstract: This invention provides a stent for implantation in a blood vessel or other tissue, wherein the stent is coated with or contains C3 exoenzyme, a chimeric version thereof or an inhibitor of RhoA. This invention also provides a method for treating or inhibiting the onset of restenosis in a subject which comprises implanting one of the instant stents in the subject's blood vessel.

Abstract: A self-supporting merger for use with a cutting machine for cutting plant material, the merger having a frame, a bed assembly mounted to the frame, a support assembly for supporting the weight of the merger, and a coupling assembly for coupling the frame to the cutting machine. The bed assembly is configured for receiving cut plant material discharged by the cutting machine, and includes a conveyor movable in at least one direction for displacing the cut plant material to at least one side of the merger. The bed assembly may be movably mounted to the frame, and be movable between an engaged position wherein the bed assembly is positioned to receive the cut plant material discharged by the cutting machine, and a bypass position wherein the cut plant material discharged by the cutting machine bypasses the bed assembly. The support assembly including at least one wheel coupled to the frame.

Abstract: In response to an advertising event signal, rendering of an active media stream is automatically paused. A new window is opened and forced to full screen size. Advertising is presented in the new window. Some window controls may be disabled such that the advertising window may not be easily resized, closed, or obscured by another window. When advertising is complete, the new window is closed. Rendering of the media stream is resumed. Alternatively, advertising is presented in a video presentation window wherein the size of the window may be adjusted and controls disabled during presentation of an advertising message. Advertising may also comprise text, graphics and images that overlay a video image. As such, the video image may be adjusted to a predetermined size and video presentation window controls may be disabled.

Abstract: The present invention provides an applicator for directing a flow of medically pure, therapeutic gas onto a selected portion of the body of a patient. The applicator receives the flow of medically pure, therapeutic gas, such as oxygen, from a source, via a conduit coupled to the source and to the applicator. The applicator can be an adhesive bandage having an inlet for receiving the flow of gas, and one or more outlets for directing the flow of gas. The applicator can also be a mask, patch or similar article configured to be applied to the skin of a patient and connected to a source of medically pure, therapeutic gas via a conduit. The applicator can also having other therapeutic materials impregnated therein. The applicator can also be configured to deliver other therapeutic substances introduced into the flow of gas.

Abstract: A method of forming a biodiesel product and a heterogeneous catalyst system used to form said product that has a high tolerance for the presence of water and free fatty acids (FFA) in the oil feedstock is disclosed. This catalyst system may simultaneously catalyze both the esterification of FAA and the transesterification of triglycerides present in the oil feedstock. The catalyst system according to one aspect of the present disclosure represents a class of zinc and lanthanum oxide heterogeneous catalysts that include different ratios of zinc oxide to lanthanum oxides (Zn:La ratio) ranging from about 10:0 to 0:10. The Zn:La ratio in the catalyst is believed to have an effect on the number and reactivity of Lewis acid and base sites, as well as the transesterification of glycerides, the esterification of fatty acids, and the hydrolysis of glycerides and biodiesel.

Abstract: An orthodontic implant comprised of one or two bony attachments, and, if there are two, one is smaller and affixed to the opposite end of the emerging portion, while the other utilizes a screw placed through an aperture. The smaller affixed portion is a tapered tac with the opposite emerging portion receiving an “O” ring removable cap onto which an adjustable rod can be contoured as needed after the implant has been affixed to bone.

The compositions, intraluminal devices, and methods of the invention are particularly well-suited for the treatment or prevention of vascular stenosis and restenosis in obese and diabetic subjects.

The ultra wideband device provides data storage and retrieval functionalities. Data or information is formatted for ultra wideband wireless transmission at a transmitting device. The data is transmitted from an ultra wideband communication interface of the transmitting device over a wireless medium to the receiving device. The data transmission is transparent to the receiving device. An ultra wideband communication interface on the receiving device processes the data according to an ultra wideband protocol. The original data is parsed from the file and translated into its original format which is supported by an application on the receiving device. The original data is used to execute a read/write action on a storage device of the receiving device such that the translated data is automatically available to the receiving device.

Abstract: Grip actuated control system to provide operational control of vehicle functions at a gripping surface of handlebar equipped vehicles. The system can be provided as original equipment and as an aftermarket addition or replacement for existent vehicle controls. The system includes one or more grip controls positioned adjacent a user's fingertips in a grip or glove assembly which are in communication with a control module. The control module is connected to existent or provided vehicle wiring and thus to respective operational equipment such that user actuation of a grip control induces the control module to provide a corresponding output to activate/deactivate or regulate the operation of the respective vehicle equipment. Communication between the grip controls and control module can be wireless for increased flexibility in installation and placement of the module on the vehicle. Combinations, sequences, and relative timing of the grip controls can provide numerous distinct control functions.

Abstract: In one aspect, a process for producing a biofuel comprises reacting a feed material that comprises a glyceride with an alcohol in the presence of a catalytic composition such that at least some of the glyceride in the feed material is converted into a biofuel mixture that comprises glycerol and the corresponding alcoholic ester of the glyceride. The catalytic composition comprises a heterogeneous catalyst and a homogeneous catalyst. The heterogeneous catalyst and the homogeneous catalyst have a synergistic effect in catalyzing the reaction of the glyceride in the feed material with the alcohol.

The existence of certain patterns can be used by investors to make decisions regarding the purchase or sale of stocks. The processes include a determination of the formation of a base, whether the pattern formed in the base is a cup or saucer, whether there is a double bottom in the base, if a base has broken out and if a handle exists on a cup, as well as other patterns.

The method includes laminating a plurality of structural and/or protective layers interspersed with electronically functional layers or electronic components in communication with the multimedia device to form a supportive and electronically functional layer, cover, protective layer, and/or electronic device. Thus, the manufacturing methods provided allow for the cost-effective addition of thin and lightweight functional, protective, and/or decorative layers to a multimedia device or other electronic device at a sales location or other customization location.
