  • Patent number: 7450615
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for bypassing a load coil in a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) circuit. An interface is provided for making a connection with the DSL circuit and receiving a combined multichannel signal. The combined multichannel signal includes a high frequency or DSL signal and a low frequency signal or voice signal. A high pass filter is utilized to block the voice signal and route the DSL signal over a communications path to bypass the load coil in the DSL circuit. • Patent number: 7016585
Abstract: A layered fiber optic cable having a compressible layer for protecting the fiber optic core from damaging displacement due to force from the freezing of trapped ambient water. As ambient water within a protective conduit freezes, the water expands, applying a force on the fiber optic cable within the conduit. The compressible layer absorbs the expansion of the freezing water by compressing, therefore minimizing displacement of the fiber optic core and resulting signal degradation.

Abstract: An apparatus including a load coil to be placed in series with a transmission line to compensate for capacitance in the transmission line is provided. The apparatus further includes low and high pass filters. The low pass filters allow analog signals to pass through the load coil while blocking from the load coil any digital signals present. The low pass filters include a first low pass filter electrically connected in series at an inbound connection of the load coil and a second low pass filter connected at an outbound connection of the load coil. The low pass filters are to be electrically connected in series with the transmission line.
