  • Patent number: 7434535
Abstract: A timing device for visually determining the passage of a preselected period of time including a redox indicator and a metal salt wherein the indicator undergoes an observable change in color which is related to the desired preselected period of time.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 31, 2003
Date of Patent: October 14, 2008
Assignee: Church & Dwight Co., Inc.

  • Publication number: 20080193402
Abstract: The present invention is directed to dual phase and single phase depilatory compositions and methods of using said compositions. More specifically, the present invention is directed to a dual phase composition for the removal of hair comprising a first acidic phase containing a thiol-based depilatory agent and a second alkaline phase containing a pH buffer. The present invention is also directed to a single phase depilatory composition comprising 2-aminoethanethiol and a pH buffer and an advantageous packaging means for said single phase depilatory composition.

  • Patent number: 6973894
Abstract: A timing device for visually determining the passage of a preselected period of time including a tube (2) having opposed ends with at least one of the opposed ends having a reservoir (10a, 10b) for storing a reactant or an indicator, a transport system (12) extending from the reservoir to the other of the opposed ends of the tube (2) for transporting at least one of the reactant or the indicator until they contact each other, a reactant, and an indicator which when in contact with the reactant via the transport means (12) emits an observable change in property wherein the minimum length of the period of time corresponds to the time it takes for the reactant and indicator to contact each other. Thc tube (2) has a shape which undergoes at least two material changes of direction exceeding 90° and up to 180° from one of the opposed ends to the other.

  • Publication number: 20040013048
Abstract: A timing device for visually determining the passage of a preselected period of time including a tube containing first and second liquids in contact with each other wherein one of the first or second liquids diffuses into the other liquid in a manner which results in an observable change of property which is related to the desired preselected period of time.

  • Patent number: 6355229
Abstract: An oral composition comprises an antibacterial effective amount of cetylpyridinium chloride, an effective amount of guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, sufficient to bind to compounds which undesirably bind to cetylpyridinium chloride thereby enabling the cetylpyridinium chloride to effectively bind to tooth surfaces and perform an antibacterial function, and an orally acceptable carrier.
