Abstract: A cylinder accumulator system is disclosed. The system includes a cylinder comprising a cylinder rod, a cylinder barrel coaxial to the cylinder rod, a cylinder end cap coupled to the cylinder barrel and the cylinder rod, and a cylinder piston assembly disposed within the cylinder barrel. The cylinder piston assembly further includes a dynamic sealing arrangement, which comprises one or more dynamic seals. The system further includes a first annular volume coaxial to the cylinder rod and the cylinder barrel, and a second volume disposed within the cylinder piston assembly. The system also includes a piston disposed within a bore of the second volume and between a hydraulic fluid located on a first side of the piston and a gas media located on a second side of the piston. The system also includes an external high-pressure accumulator, a low-pressure accumulator, and one or more tube manifolds coupling the external high-pressure accumulator and low-pressure accumulator to the cylinder.

Abstract: A rotary engine powered by external heat with a gas that is reactive to temperature sealed inside a casing where a portion, of the sealed in gas is heated and expands within a chamber on one side of the engine and is separated by a partition from another portion of the gas which is cooled and contracts within a chamber on the opposite side of the engine as the heated gas pushes the partition which rotates a rotor while simultaneously the cooled gas pulls the partition and every 180° of rotation the heated gas moves over the rotor to the cooling side of the engine while the cooled gas moves under the rotor through a valve to the heating side of the engine.

Abstract: Label complexes, lateral flow apparatus and methods of detecting a high molecular weight substance are shown and described. In one embodiment, the label complex includes an antispecies antibody and another antibody having sensitivity to both the antispecies antibody and to a control line capture agent, an antibody binding protein and a detectable component. Typically, the antibody binding protein may bind to a receptor for the analyte or to the anti-species antibody. In yet other embodiments, a lateral flow test strip includes the label complex and a solid support that traverses lateral flow of a liquid sample and provides a detectable signal.

Abstract: A power management and distribution (PMAD) system includes a first power supply of a first type, a second power supply of a second type different from the first type and first and second loads. The PMAD system includes a matrix of solid state power controllers (SSPCs) connected between the first and second power supplies and the first and second loads. The matrix is configured to selectively supply each of the first and second loads with a plurality of different power levels based on on/off states of the SSPCs of the matrix.

Abstract: An adjustable mounting assembly for attaching an attachment end of a first beam member to a second beam member. The adjustable mounting assembly includes a first bracket attachable to the first beam member; a second bracket attachable to the second beam member; and a point of attachment where the first and second brackets are attached to each other. The adjustable mounting assembly is configured to allow a position of the first beam member to be adjusted relative to the second beam member.

Abstract: A seal assembly for use in a gearbox has a rotating ring to be secured to a shaft, and having a contact face. The contact face abuts a stationary seal. The stationary seal has a retainer with a channel extending to a bottom. A floating seal portion is positioned within the retainer, with a spring positioned inward of an inner end of the floating seal portion, and biasing the floating seal portion outwardly. There is an inner bore of the retainer which is spaced from an outer periphery of the floating seal portion. One of the inner bore and the outer periphery presides with the plurality of radially located pins. The other of the inner bore and the outer periphery is formed with the plurality of recesses. The pins are received in the recesses, to prevent rotation of the floating seal portion within the retainer.

Abstract: In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for a stand-alone RFID sensor apparatus comprising a passive radio frequency identification (RFID) tag configured to read sensor information from a sensor, the passive RFID tag comprising an RF network node and a communication facility, the RF network node comprising (i) an RF and analog block for receiving and transmitting an RFID interrogation signal, (ii) a data processing and controller block for digital information processing, (iii) a memory store, and (iv) a power management block for managing power requirements of the RFID sensor apparatus, and the communications facility linking the sensor and the passive RFID tag, wherein the data processing and controller block manages communication of the sensor information through the communications facility.

Abstract: Disclosed are multifunctional sulfur-containing polymers that are the reaction products of a sulfur-containing diol, a polyol containing at least three hydroxyl groups per polyol molecule, and an aldehyde, a ketone, or a combination thereof. Sealant compositions comprising the multifunctional sulfur-containing polymers are also disclosed.

Abstract: A permeable plug may be temporarily deployed in a patient to protect blood vessels from blockage by various debris. The plug includes a body formed from a filtering material. The body is collapsible for delivery to a location in a blood vessel and expandable to a filtering configuration in which the body occupies a cross-section of the blood vessel and is held in place by its own expansive force. At least one stud is connected to the body for use in deployment of the plug within the blood vessel and retrieval of the plug from the blood vessel.

Abstract: IL4/IL13-binding proteins comprise binding domains, which inhibit IL4/IL13 binding to IL4Ralpha and common gamma chain complexes (Type 1) and inhibit IL4 binding to IL4Ralpha and IL13Ralpha1 complexes (Type 2), and IL13 binding to IL13Ralpha1 and/or IL13Ralpha2, are useful in the treatment of cancer, inflammatory, and other pathological conditions, such as allergic or fibrotic conditions, especially pulmonary conditions.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for GPU demand paging. In operation, input data is addressed in terms of a virtual address space. Additionally, the input data is organized into one or more pages of data. Further, the input data organized as the one or more pages of data is at least temporarily stored in a physical cache. In addition, access to the input data in the physical cache is facilitated.

Abstract: Tracking vehicles is disclosed. Initially, two or more first images from a first camera having a first field of view are received. Next, a first static characteristic and a first dynamic characteristic of a first vehicle are determined based on the two or more first images. Next, two or more second images from a second camera having a second field of view are received. A second static characteristic and a second dynamic characteristic of the first vehicle are determined based on the two or more second images. The first characteristics and the second characteristics are compared to determine that the second characteristics are approximately equal to the first characteristics of the first vehicle. Finally, it is indicated that the first vehicle is present in the second field of view of the second camera.

Abstract: A system and method of advertising based on the automatic determination of an advertising recipient's location and inferences of preferences derived from usage behaviors is disclosed. The advertising recipient's location that is considered in delivering a specific advertisement may be the current location or one or more historical locations. Proximity considerations with regard to other people, locations, or physical objects may influence the advertisement that is to be delivered. The advertisement may be delivered to a mobile device that has location-aware capabilities such as a Global Positioning System-based system.

Abstract: Different prices may be charged for an In-App Purchase (IAP) for a same item based on a market associated with the user. For example, a user in one market may be charged a different price for an item than what is charged for the item to a user in a different market. A different product identifier is associated with the item for each of the different markets for the item. The item is submitted to the application store as different items that have the different product identifiers for each of the different markets. When an IAP request for an item is received from a user, a market that is associated with the user is determined based on a location associated with the user. After determining the market for the user, the product identifier that identifies the product is used to obtain the item from the application store.

Abstract: A medical device for sealing a defect in a body includes a wire frame that includes a plurality of wires that form a first occluding member and a second occluding member, the wire frame including a defect-occupying portion disposed between the first occluding member and the second occluding member. The defect-occupying portion is adapted to fill a wide range of potential defect sizes, such that no more than five devices of a range of sizes are required to effectively seal a range of nominal defect sizes of approximately 8 to 35 mm.

Abstract: A lancet device and a lancet device tip for a lancet device. The tip includes a first sleeve and a second sleeve at least partially contained within the first sleeve. The second sleeve includes a stop surface. Rotation of the first sleeve relative to the second sleeve causes the second sleeve to move at least axially without changing an overall length of the lancet device tip.

Abstract: A test head manipulator system comprising a base structure, a main arm unit configured to support a test head and to be moved relative to the base structure, an actuator having a range of motion of L, and an enhancement mechanism positioned between the main arm unit and the actuator and configured such that movement of the actuator a first distance causes the main arm unit to move a second distance that is greater than the first distance. Additionally, a fluid control system for controlling a test head manipulator system. The pneumatic control system includes a regulator configured to controllably provide an output pressure to the main fluid actuator, and a second fluidly controlled actuator configured to adjust the regulator to modify the output pressure provided to the main fluid actuator. The second actuator is configured to be positively positioned in at least four operating modes with each operating mode causing the regulator to provide a different output pressure to the main fluid actuator.

Abstract: A heat exchanger for use with a two-phase refrigerant includes an inlet header, an outlet header, and a plurality of refrigerant tubes hydraulically connecting the headers. A distributor tube has a plurality of orifices disposed in the inlet header, the end of the refrigerant tubes opposite the outlet header extends inside the inlet header and abuts a surface of the distributor tube, a portion of an inner surface of the inlet header facing the surface of the distributor tube and the surface of the distributor tube defining a first chamber. A gap separates at least a portion of the distributor tube and the inlet header, the gap extending from at least the orifices to the first chamber, wherein at least one partition having at least one opening formed therethrough spanning the gap, the partition separating the orifices from the first chamber.
