Abstract: A system and method for initiating calls via electronic calendar is disclosed. A call list is associated by a user to a particular time and day within the electronic calendar. When the particular day and time arrives, the call list is forwarded to a service which executes the call list, and subsequently contacts the members of the call list. The system may initially query the callees through a prerecorded voice messaging system to determine which callees are present, and then establish a telephone connection based on responses to the queries. Once a connection is established, the user and the members of the list are linked to a conference bridge.

Abstract: Radio frequency (RF) coil configurations and methods are disclosed. Non-magnetic elements may be used in combination with an RF coil. The non-magnetic elements may be metal. The non-magnetic metal elements may be designed and configured to facilitate tuning of an RF coil, and to modify a magnetic field produced by an RF coil. The non-magnetic metal elements may also be used in connection with a RF receiver coil to control the region from which the receiver coil detects signals. The configurations and methods described may be used in various RF applications, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Abstract: In general, the present disclosure describes various techniques for providing multi-buffer support for off-screen surfaces in a graphics system. One example device includes one or more buffer areas and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to allocate multiple buffers within the buffer space that are all associated with an off-screen surface using in graphics processing. The one or more processors are further configured to identify a first buffer within the buffers as a write buffer for the off-screen surface and to further identify a second buffer within the buffers as a read buffer for the off-screen surface, such that information relating to the off-screen surface is written into the first buffer during a write operation and information relating to the off-screen surface is read out of the second buffer during a read operation.

Abstract: In general, the present disclosure describes various techniques for creation of surfaces using a platform interface layer wherein such surfaces may have different format layouts for various different color spaces, such as the YCbCr color space. One example device includes a storage device configured to contain surface information and one or more processors configured to create a graphics surface within a color space using a platform interface layer. The platform interface layer lies between a client rendering application program interface (API) and an underlying native platform rendering API. The one or more processors are further configured to specify a format layout of data associated with the surface within the color space using the platform interface layer and to store the format layout within the storage device. The format layout indicates a layout of one or more color components of the data associated with the surface within the color space.

Abstract: The invention generally relates to an apparatus for forming a shell. The apparatus has a die center and a panel punch located in opposed relation to the die center. A panel punch piston is coupled to the panel punch. The panel punch piston has an upper end and a spacer member is disposed concentrically around an outside surface of the panel punch piston at or proximate to the upper end of the panel punch piston. The upper end of the spacer member is in contact with a lower end of the panel punch and the spacer member is located proximate to a peripheral surface of the lower end of the panel punch. A method for manufacturing a shell is additionally provided as well.

The analog and digital IF signals may be filtered via a surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter, for example. The filtered analog and digital IF signals may be amplified. The amplified filtered analog and digital IF signals may be received. The amplified filtered analog and digital IF signals may be IF demodulated by the IF demodulator to generate an IF demodulated output signal. An audio portion of the IF demodulated output signal may be decoded via a BTSC decoder, for example.

The multimedia information distribution module is configured to distribute the multimedia information to the at least one remote site in accordance with the multimedia information distribution indication.

Abstract: A virtual market system is used to rank-order answers to an open-ended question. A virtual market on which participants can trade securities representing answers to the open-ended question is used to gather information from the participants regarding each answer. Answers to be traded on the market may be provided by the participants, allowing for opinions to be expressed not only as to the relative worth of the securities on the market, but also as to which securities should be on the market.
