  • Publication number: 20240357684
Abstract: A host device includes a processor, a wireless communication device in data communication with the processor, and a hardware storage device in data communication with the processor. The hardware storage device has instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the host device to establish a wireless data channel with an accessory device and assign the wireless data channel to a resource unit with a bandwidth less than 20 MHz. The instructions further cause the host device to send a trigger signal to the accessory device and receive state data from the accessory device in response to the trigger signal.

  • Patent number: 12120027
Abstract: Techniques for steering overlay network traffic along specific paths through an underlay network. The techniques may include determining a path through an underlay network that is optimized for sending a packet from a first node of an overlay network to a second node of the overlay network. The techniques may also include determining a destination address for sending the packet along the path from the first node to the second node, the destination address including a micro segment identifier (uSID) corresponding with an underlay node that is disposed along the path through the underlay network and trailing bits representing a portion of an address that corresponds with the second node. The techniques may also include causing the packet to be modified to include the destination address such that the packet is sent from the first node to the second node along the path.

  • Patent number: 12093559
Abstract: A distributed data storage system may connect a host to a device and a dedication module. The dedication module can identify a manufacturing origin of the device before dedicating a type of host-generated data access request to the device. The type of host-generated data access request is chosen by the dedication module in response to an operating capability correlated to the device by the dedication module based on the identified manufacturing origin. At least one host-generated request of the dedicated type is then completed with the device.

  • Patent number: 12086455
Abstract: A data storage system may have a plurality of memory cells located in different data storage devices that are arranged into a plurality of logical namespaces with each logical namespace configured to be sequentially written and entirely erased as a single unit. An asymmetry strategy may be proactively created with the asymmetry module in response to data access activity to the logical namespaces by the asymmetry module. A new mode, as prescribed by the asymmetry strategy, is entered for at least one logical namespace in response to an operational trigger being met. The new mode changes a timing of at least one queued data access request to at least one logical namespace.

  • Publication number: 20240296028
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method receives a change to data stored in a repository. An artifact that is generated based on the change to the data failed a validation. The method analyzes the change to the data via a model to generate a set of adjustments. The model is trained to output adjustments for the artifact to generate a set of adjusted artifacts. The method determines an adjusted artifact that is associated with an adjustment in the set of adjustments that passes the validation. The adjusted artifact is output as a validated artifact.

  • Patent number: 12079355
Abstract: Apparatus and method for executing hidden computational functions in a distributed data processing environment. In some embodiments, a trust boundary includes a target device such as a storage device, and a source device such as a client device in a computer network. A storage device processor executes a hidden command function (HCF) routine to accumulate HCF output data in a local cache responsive to an HCF command received from the client device over a data interface. The processor further establishes a smaller retention boundary within the trust boundary that includes the storage device and excludes the client device. The HCF output data are stored locally in a non-volatile memory (NVM) of the storage device while not transferring any portion of the HCF output data outside the retention boundary, including to the client device. The HCF routine can update a block-chain ledger or take some other form to provide data security.

  • Patent number: 12068965
Abstract: Techniques for obtaining application network metadata from a service registry so that a network routing policy may be derived for traffic associated with the application are described herein. The techniques may include receiving, at a service registry, network metadata associated with traffic of an application hosted by a scalable application service platform. The techniques may also include obtaining, by a controller of a network and from the service registry, the network metadata associated with the traffic of the application. Based at least in part on the network metadata, the controller may determine a routing policy that is optimized for sending the traffic through the network. Additionally, the controller may send an indication of the routing policy to a node of the network or otherwise provision the network such that the traffic of the application is sent through the network according to the routing policy.
