  • Patent number: 5161720
Abstract: A garment hanger is comprised of an integral body of synthetic material having a central portion, a hook portion extending outwardly of the central portion, first and second wing portions extending outwardly of the central portion, first and second wing end portions respectively outwardly of the first and second wing portions and third and fourth wing portions extending respectively inwardly of the first and second wing end portions to respective first and second mutually spaced ends of the third and fourth wing portions. The first and third wing portions, the second and third wing portions and the central portion collectively define an opening therebetween. The first and second wing end portions are of asymmetric dimensions transversely of the opening, whereby the third and fourth wing portions have enhanced support against deflection thereof in the plane of the hanger than would otherwise obtain.

  • Patent number: 5038978
Abstract: A garment hanger is comprised of an integral body of resilient material having a first portion adapted for releasable receipt of a garment and a second portion for suspending the hanger from a display support. The second portion includes a stem projecting from the first portion and a centrally slotted generally spherical member is supported by said stem and is closable on such slot to exhibit a transient reduced diametric condition for joinder with the display support. The display support has a hollow interior and an opening extending longitudinally with the support and communicating with the interior. In its reduced diammetric condition, the spherical member has a diameter equal to or less than the width of the display support opening for insertion into the display support interior.

  • Patent number: 5002210
Abstract: A garment hanger releasably secured to a display rod which comprises an integral body member defining a central portion having a detent for releasably securing the hanger to the display rod and first and second wing portions extending respectively oppositely from the central portion, the central portion defining a stabilizer extending generally orthogonally to the wing portions and outwardly thereof for maintaining the wing portions and the central portion in non-tilted relation with respect to the display rod upon attachment of the garment to the wing portions. In that the central portion of the hanger interiorly defines the releasable securement detent, the hanger of the invention does not require a extending hook portion, thus enhancing garment hanging density.
