  • Patent number: 10475185
Abstract: Described is a multiple-camera system and process for identifying a user that performed an event and associating that user with the event. For example, when an event is detected, user patterns near the location of the event are determined, along with touch points at the location of the event. User pattern orientation and/or arm trajectories between the event location and the user pattern may be determined and processed to link the user pattern to the event, thereby confirming the association between the event and the user.

  • Publication number: 20190331066
Abstract: An EGR cooler may include an EGR cooler housing having top, bottom and side walls, inlet and outlet end walls disposed at opposite ends, and a longitudinal axis extending in a direction of exhaust gas flow from the inlet end to the outlet end. A plurality of cooling tubes extend through the EGR cooler between the top and bottom walls, and are arranged in a cooling tube array to form an exhaust gas receiving area at an upstream side of the cooling tube array proximate the inlet end wall so that exhaust gas flowing into the EGR cooler through an exhaust gas inlet opening will flow into the exhaust gas receiving area and then disperse through the cooling tube array. A pitch distance between the cooling tubes may be greater proximate the longitudinal axis than proximate the side walls to promote flow through, instead of around, the cooling tube array.

  • Patent number: 10461942
Abstract: Techniques are described for multi-factor authentication and device verification based at least partly on a periodically changing (e.g., rotating) security code. A rotating security code may be generated on a user device and used to sign a certificate. The certificate may be encrypted, using a private key stored on the user device, and communicated to a backend service for verifying that the user device is authorized to access secure information. The backend service may decrypt the certificate (e.g., using a public key associated with the private key), extract the security code from the decrypted certificate, and compare the extracted security code to a security code associated with the user device. If the codes correspond to one another, the user device may be verified and provided with access to secure information such as secure data, a secure portion of an application, and so forth.

  • Publication number: 20190319586
Abstract: A charge pump includes a scaler circuit and a selector circuit. The scaler circuit is designed to scale an intermediate voltage by a scaling factor to generate a scaled voltage. The selector circuit is designed to select and provide the intermediate voltage from multiple voltages. The selector circuit includes a comparator block to generate a select signal indicating which of the multiple voltages has the highest magnitude. The selector circuit includes multiple switches, each switch to receive a respective voltage from among the multiple voltages and pass the corresponding voltage as the intermediate voltage if the select signal indicates that the voltage received by the corresponding switch has the highest magnitude.

  • Patent number: 10445593
Abstract: Users may enter a facility singly or in groups. A user interface may be presented to an associate that includes information obtained from sensors in the facility. The associate may utilize the information presented to determine if a user is alone, or to associate that user with a particular group of users. Input from the associate obtained from this user interface may then be used by a facility management system during operation to attribute the actions of the users to a particular account.

  • Patent number: 10437593
Abstract: A synchronization instruction causes a processor to ensure that specified threads included within a warp concurrently execute a single subsequent instruction. The specified threads include at least a first thread and a second thread. In operation, the first thread arrives at the synchronization instruction. The processor determines that the second thread has not yet arrived at the synchronization instruction and configures the first thread to stop executing instructions. After issuing at least one instruction for the second thread, the processor determines that all the specified threads have arrived at the synchronization instruction. The processor then causes all the specified threads to execute the subsequent instruction. Advantageously, unlike conventional approaches to synchronizing threads, the synchronization instruction enables the processor to reliably and properly execute code that includes complex control flows and/or instructions that presuppose that threads are converged.

  • Patent number: 10439929
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a switch. The switch includes a processor, a storage device, a multicast management module, and a graceful recovery module. The multicast management module participates in a multicast tree of a multicast group. The graceful recovery module determines a recovery event and constructs a message indicating the recovery event for a second switch. The switch and the second switch belong to a first virtual local area network (VLAN). The graceful recovery module then identifies a completion notification message from the second switch indicating a completion of replaying multicast information stored in the second switch and includes multicast information received from the second switch in a local multicast database.

  • Patent number: 10437975
Abstract: Methods and systems for authenticating a user are described. In some embodiments, a series of voice interactions are received from a user during a voiceline session. Each of the voice interactions in the series of voice interaction may be analyzed as each of the voice interactions are received. A confidence level in a verification of an identity of the user may be determined based on the analysis of each of the voice interactions. An access level for the user may be automatically updated based on the confidence level of the verification of the identity of the user after each of the voice interactions is received.
