The data center asset management and monitoring operation includes: receiving data center asset health information from respective data center assets from a plurality of data center assets; generating a neural network graph using the data center asset health information from the plurality of respective data center assets, the neural network graph comprising a plurality of nodes; calculating node edge weights based upon how similar certain data center assets are to other data center assets; and, calculating a data center asset health score using the neural network graph.

Abstract: Technology described herein relates to management of operational execution by one or more plugins, services and/or consoles of a computing system. A method can comprise registering, by a conflict resolution manager (CRM) controller of a system, a subset of control components of a set of control components of the system, wherein the registering comprises logging operation capabilities of the subset of control components, ranking, by the CRM controller, respective control components of the subset, wherein the ranking is performed based on an operation comprised by the operation capabilities, and generating, by the CRM controller, a permission for performance of the operation by a selected control component of the subset having a highest rank determined by the ranking. The control components can comprise a plugin of, or to be installed at, at least one of the system or a management console of the system, which can be a computing system.

Abstract: An automated networking device replacement system includes a chassis housing in which management module and a fabric services subsystem are provided. The fabric services subsystem identifies that a first networking device has been provided in the chassis, and determines that the first networking device is a replacement for a second networking device. In response, the fabric services subsystem automatically identifies at least one fabric-services-based configuration that was performed on the second networking device, and automatically performs the at least one fabric-services-based configuration on the first networking device. The fabric services subsystem then transmits a management-module-based configuration instruction to the management module that causes the management module to automatically perform at least one management-module-based configuration on the first networking device that was performed on the second networking device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system and method for providing a virtual media gateway in which an Information Handling Systems (IHSs) configured on a private network may be managed using a systems management console. One embodiment of the virtual media gateway system includes a systems manager in communication with multiple server IHSs configured in a data center. The systems manager includes executable code to establish a first login session with a public network configured in the data center, and using the first login session, receive a request to communicate with one of the computing devices. The executable code is further executable to authenticate the systems manager with the one server IHS on behalf of the end-user to establish a second login session through a private network, and generate a console for providing user interaction with the one computing device via the second login session.

Abstract: An expander I/O module discovery/management system includes a secondary system chassis housing an expander I/O module coupled to a server device. The server device identifies the secondary system chassis and an expander I/O module port utilized by that server device, and then generates and transmits an expander I/O module reporting communication identifying the secondary system chassis and the expander I/O module port. A primary system chassis houses a switching I/O module coupled to the expander I/O module. The switching I/O module receives the expander I/O module reporting communication and determines that the secondary system chassis identified in the expander I/O module reporting communication is different than the primary system chassis. In response, the switching I/O module assigns a virtual slot to the expander I/O module, and assigns a virtual port associated with the virtual slot to the expander I/O module port identified in the expander I/O module reporting communication.

Abstract: A scope-based access control system includes a systems manager that is executed to receive a request to perform an operation on one of multiple computing devices in which the request includes a session identifier associated with an established session of a user who issued the request. The systems manager forwards the request and the session identifier to a global authentication authority. The global authentication authority responds to the request by issuing a claim that specifies a computing device group that the session is authorized to access. The systems manager receives the claim specifying a computing device group from the global authentication authority. The systems manager then performs the operation based on whether the one computing device is included in the computing device group.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid cooling leakage abatement system includes a systems manager having executable instructions for obtaining location information for each of a plurality of components of a computing cluster in which at least a portion of the components are cooled by a liquid cooling system via a liquid coolant. When the systems manager receives leakage information associated with a leak in the liquid cooling system used to cool a first component, it infers a second component that is affected by the leak, and generates an alert message indicating that the first and second components that are affected by the leak.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a dynamic identity assignment system for an Information Handling System (IHS) with hardware components includes computer-executable code to obtain an inventory of the hardware components in which the inventory comprises information associated with a configuration of each of the hardware components in the IHS. The code also receives one or more rule definitions, and for each of the hardware components, generates an identity-based attribute for the hardware component by matching the configuration of the hardware component with at least one of the rule definitions, and assigning the generated identity-based attribute to the hardware component.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a plugin ranking system includes computer-executable instructions for use in a computing environment configured with multiple hardware components. The instructions may be executed to determine a collective operating characteristic of the hardware components, and rank the plurality of plugins according to a relevance of the management function of each plugin to the determined operating characteristic in which the plugins are each configured to perform a different management function for managing the computing environment. Once ranked, the instructions can then provide an indication of the ranked plugins for consumption by a user.
