  • Patent number: 10713403
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to controlling synthesis of an electronic design by tagging an intellectual property (IP) parameter such that changes to the tagged design parameter do not result in the entire electronic design being re-synthesized. In an illustrative example, a circuit may contain a number of hard blocks, which may be configured using an HDL design tool. Whenever an IP parameter of an HDL design is updated, place and route may go out of date, which may require the entire design to be re-synthesized. By tagging certain IP parameters with at least one tag, changes or alterations to these tagged IP parameters will not cause synthesis to occur (for output products associated with the at least one tag). Avoiding re-synthesis may save significant time for designers by performing re-synthesis only when necessary.

  • Publication number: 20200192455
Abstract: Reducing power consumption of communication interfaces by clock frequency scaling and adaptive interleaving of polling is disclosed. In a first aspect, a control system controls transmission of a command via a serial interface at a higher clock frequency. After transmission, the control system and the interface are operated at a lower clock frequency to save power during command execution. In this aspect, a reduction in polling corresponds to the reduction in clock signal frequency. When the command is complete, the interface is operated at the higher frequency to send another command. In a second aspect, after the control system sends a command to the receiving device, polling is suspended and an execution time of the command is tracked. Polling begins when the tracked execution time almost equals an expected completion time. Both aspects disclosed above may be implemented to reduce power consumption in exchange for a small increase in latency.

  • Patent number: 10673855
Abstract: In a process of consolidated identity management system provisioning to manage access across landscapes, a request is received to provision an entity in one or more heterogeneous landscapes. The request includes one or more sub-requests. Upon determining that the one or more heterogeneous landscapes corresponding to the one or more sub-request is connected to a central IDM system, the entity in the one or more heterogeneous landscapes is provisioned via the central IDM system. The status of the one or more sub-requests is determined using a push pull mechanism at the central IDM system. Upon determining that the one or more heterogeneous landscapes corresponding to the one or more sub-requests is not connected to the central IDM system, the entity is directly provisioned in the one or more heterogeneous landscapes. The request is closed after receiving the status update from the individual one or more sub-requests.

  • Patent number: 10580042
Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to prefetching content units. A prefetch request is transmitted to a server from a client device. The prefetch request includes data indicative of probabilities of slots for content units being available during an upcoming time period. The probabilities can be based on likely interaction with application(s) executed by the client device during the upcoming time period. Prefetched content units assigned to the client device for the upcoming time period can be received from the server responsive to the prefetch request. One or more of the prefetched content units can be served for display on a display screen of the client device during execution the application(s). Further, statuses of the prefetched content units can be monitored, and information that specifies a subset of the prefetched content units that are unlikely to be displayed on the display screen prior to corresponding deadlines for expiration can be transmitted.

  • Patent number: 10528517
Abstract: Systems and methods for power conservation in a SOUNDWIRE audio bus provide a pulse density modulated (PDM) audio stream at an audio source to an encoder. The encoder has a plurality of encoding states corresponding to bit patterns. The encoder compares bits of the audio stream to available bit patterns and selects an encoding state. The audio source sends the encoding state to an audio sink and then sends data to the audio sink based on encoding using the selected encoding state. The data is sent over a non-return to zero inverted (NRZI) audio bus. As the audio stream changes bit patterns, the encoder may select different more efficient encoding states and provide updates to the audio sink of changes in the encoding state.

  • Patent number: 10509694
Abstract: System and methods are provided for optimal error detection in programmatic environments through the utilization of at least one user-defined condition. Illustratively, the conditions can include one or more triggers initiating the collection of log data for methods associated with the provided at least one condition. Operatively, the disclosed systems and methods observe the run-time of the programmatic environment and initiate the collection of log data based on the occurrence of a condition trigger. A rank score can also be calculated to rank the methods associated with the defined condition to isolate those methods that have higher probability of causing the defined condition. Dynamic instrumentation of the methods associated with the user defined conditions during run time are used to calculate the rank score, which is used for ranking the methods.
