  • Publication number: 20210183190
Abstract: A method of automatically providing promotions to hotel guests using mobile credentials is provided. The method includes receiving, by a vendor application of a vendor, a request from a requestor to access the vendor application to perform a business transaction between the requestor and the vendor. A mobile credential assigned to the requestor for unlocking an access control device is received by the vendor application. It is determined whether the mobile credential assigned to the requestor is valid. Based at least in part on determining that the mobile credential is valid, the mobile credential is accepted by the vendor application and the requestor is provided access to the vendor application to perform the business transaction.

  • Publication number: 20210176013
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may adaptively switch between hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) monitoring modes to support power savings. In a first HARQ skipping mode, the UE may transmit an uplink message corresponding to a HARQ identifier and may receive a positive acknowledgment (ACK) message in a HARQ monitoring occasion associated with the HARQ identifier. Upon receiving the ACK message, the UE refrains from monitoring a subsequent HARQ monitoring occasion associated with the HARQ identifier while in the first HARQ skipping mode (e.g., an aggressive HARQ skipping mode). The UE may periodically enter a periodic evaluation mode from the first HARQ skipping mode, in which the UE monitors a subsequent HARQ monitoring occasion after receiving an ACK message to check for false ACK messages. If a false ACK message is detected, the UE enters a first HARQ skipping prohibited mode.

  • Patent number: 10733435
Abstract: Systems and methods provide for a document fraud detection system for identifying fraudulent documents. The document fraud detection system can include up to three steps of fraud detection, where if the document fails any of the three steps, the document can be flagged for further review. In another embodiment, the document fraud detection system can score each of the three tests, where the scores represent the likelihood that the document is fraudulent. If the combined score satisfies a predetermined criterion, the document can be flagged as potentially fraudulent. The three tests can include analyzing a scanned image of the document and comparing to other similar documents to determine if there have been any alterations. The second test can compare indents to previous documents, and the third test can analyze chemical and biometric factors that may indicate whether the document has been altered.

  • Patent number: 10470043
Abstract: Theft identification, prevention, and remedy are provided. A determination is made that a client device has been compromised. When the device makes the determination, a message is conveyed to the server and the server replies with a security challenge. When the server makes the determination, the security challenge is automatically sent to the device. An intelligence manager on the device attempts to answer the security question without interaction from the user. If there is an anomaly, a challenge is output to the user. Based on a false response to the challenge, a current data stream may be disrupted and removed from the device. Further, other devices in the network may be notified about the compromised device.

The corrosion sensor (1) comprises a microwave transceiver (2); and a waveguide (3), with the waveguide (3) being operably coupled to the microwave transceiver (2). The microwave transceiver (2) transmits a first continuous wave microwave signal incident on the at least one layer and receives a second continuous wave microwave signal reflected from the at least one layer. The first and second continuous wave signals are combined into an intermediate continuous wave microwave signal having a phase difference indicative of corrosion in the material. Both the first and second continuous wave microwave signals are frequency modulated continuous wave signals.
