    Abstract: A correlation method of a code division multiple access receiver using mapping. Digital data with each signal composed of two bits are packed by a predetermined packing unit; blocking the packed data into data blocks according to a size corresponding to the repetition period of a C/A code. The packed data are recognized as an index in a correlation value mapping table having ICV and QCV mapped with each of different indexes and the ICV and the QCV are called from the correlation value mapping table. The called ICV and QCV are integrated according to the data blocks; and calculating a phase error of a carrier wave and a phase error of the C/A code using the ICV and the QCV according to the data blocks. A signal processing method is performed using the correlation method to correct phase errors.

    Abstract: A memory test circuit comprises a memory which outputs stored data through n-bit data output pins, and a built-in self test (BIST) unit. The BIST unit writes test data in the memory, and by comparing the test data output from the memory with expected data, determines a failure cell address in the memory. The BIST unit generates k preliminary failure signals having failure information indicating whether the test data correspond with the expected data, and outputs the k preliminary failure signals for m cycles of a clock signal, by outputting k/m preliminary failure signals each cycle as first through k/m failure signals. In the memory test circuit and test system, the BIST unit testing a memory and generating a failure signal is disposed in a memory apparatus and a failure analysis circuit analyzing a failure signal output by the BIST unit is disposed in the test apparatus.

A disclosed pointing device includes a light source emitting light rays to a subject; a contact member comprising a lattice type or perceivable pattern, which reflects an image of the moving subject; and an automatic transfer device restoring the contact member moved by a finger. The pointing device may further include a flip chip containing an image sensor, which converts the acquired image into an electronic signal, and a circuit for signal processing. The pointing device may include an integrated optical structure comprising a condensing lens, a specular surface, a light output part, and an image-formation lens. The pointing device may include a light guide structure that a parallel light prism lens, an image-formation lens, and a mask for blocking disturbance ray are formed into a single part.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a degraded dictionary automatically is presented in this invention. Herein, a degraded pattern generating means generates a plurality of degraded patterns from an original character image, based on a plurality of degradation parameters. A degraded dictionary generating means generates a plurality of degraded dictionaries corresponding to the plurality of degradation parameters, based on the plurality of degradation patterns. Finally, a dictionary matching means selects one of the plurality of dictionaries which matches the degradation level of a test sample set best, as the final degraded dictionary. In this invention, various degraded patterns can be generated by means of simple scaling and blurring process for establishing degraded dictionaries. Therefore, the invention can be implemented simply and easily.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a degraded character image at various levels of degradation automatically is presented in this invention. Thus various degraded character images are generated on various conditions of degradation.     Abstract: The present invention provides a method of preparing a synthetic rubber latex having a large particle size, showing good stability and reducing coagulum during polymerization, which comprises (a) pretreating a seed synthetic rubber latex by mixing the seed synthetic rubber latex with deionized water and a small amount of an emulsifier and stirring, (b) preparing an agglomerating latex with a pH value of about 5.0˜8.0 by mixing a copolymer latex containing unsaturated acid having from about 10 to about 50% by weight of solid content with deionized water and a pH controlling agent, and (c) adding the pretreated seed synthetic rubber latex of step (a) to the agglomerating latex of step (b). The step (c) may be carried out by adding the pretreated seed synthetic rubber latex dropwisely to the agglomerating latex containing unsaturated acid for about 30 minutes to about 1 hour.

The write control circuit improves the signal-to-noise ratio during the exclusive audio recording mode of operation by muting and recording an applied video signal while using the optimum bias current for a recording head.
