  • Patent number: 7615916
Abstract: An electron emission device adapted to enhanced electron beam focusing and its method of fabrication are shown. The device includes driving electrodes for controlling the emission of electrons from electron emission regions formed on a substrate; two or more tiers of insulating layers formed on the driving electrodes; and a focusing electrode formed over the tiers. A multi-tiered insulating layer allows a thick tier to hold the focusing electrodes away from the emission regions, thus enhancing their focusing impact, while a thin tier under the focusing electrodes remains amenable to intricate patterning. Fabrication of the tiers from material with different etching rates allows thicker lower support tiers to be etched during the same period and in the same step that a thinner upper tier is etched, also allowing openings in a lower tier to widen while openings in the upper tier stay small.

Abstract: In a method of manufacturing an electron emission device, cathode electrodes are first formed on a substrate. An insulating layer is formed on the entire surface of the substrate such that the insulating layer covers the cathode electrodes. The insulating layer is wet-etched two or more times such that openings each with an aspect ratio of more than 1 are formed in the insulating layer. Gate electrodes are formed on the insulating layer. Electron emission regions are formed on the cathode electrodes within the openings of the insulating layer. The respective etchings are conducted using separate mask patterns with the same-sized openings such that under-cuts are made.

  • Patent number: 7427455
Abstract: There are provided an anode for a lithium metal polymer secondary battery comprising an anodic current collector having a surface on which a plurality of recesses having a predetermined shape are formed and a method of preparing the same. The plurality of recesses are formed on a surface of the anodic current collector using a physical method or a chemical method. In a lithium metal polymer secondary battery employing the anode, oxidation/reduction of lithium and the formation of dendrite occur only in the recesses formed by surface patterning of the anodic current collector. Thus, expanding and shrinking of a battery due to a change in the thickness of the lithium anode can be prevented and cycling stability and the lifespan of a battery can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20080208317
Abstract: Disclosed is a stent supporting device. The support device anchors a stent in a manner such that an anchoring stent is inserted into a branch blood vessel adjacent to an artery in which the stent is disposed, and the anchoring stent is connected to the stent. Accordingly, the support device is safe because it does not use subsidiary members such as screws, which can injure a blood vessel. Further, since the support device allows the stent to have a length corresponding to the size of a treatment site, that is, the stent does not need to be longer than the size of the treatment site, it is easy to install the stent.
