  • Patent number: 6079946
Abstract: In the cooling system for the gas turbine blade, the apparatus of the present disclosure ensures cooling of the trailing edge part of the blade for which machining is difficult, while aiming at improvement of the thermal efficiency. The steam cooling structure for carrying out heat recovery-type steam cooling is employed to the leading edge part and the central part of the blade where machining is easy because of its large thickness, and the convection cooling end film cooling are employed for the trailing edge part of the blade where the thickness is small, using steam cooling and air cooling at the same time.

  • Patent number: 6068443
Abstract: The invention relates to a cavity constituted by a casing of a gas turbine and a moving blade with a tip shroud, by which a cavity space is made to a necessary minimum size, a main flow gas is prevented from being entrained and a pressure loss is reduced. A tip shroud (6) is mounted on a tip end portion of a moving blade (4), a fin (7) is mounted thereon, a recess-like cavity (15) narrower than the conventional one is formed by portions (12a) and (12b) of a casing (12) and the fin (7), and further a projecting portion (16) is provided to an upstream end portion of the tip shroud (6). The projecting portion (16) is at a position (13a) at a time of a cold start and is at a position (13b) at a time of a hot start run, even if a thermal expansion occurs, thus the projecting portion (16) is not in contact with the recess portion, a main flow gas (1) is less entrained within the cavity (15), and a pressure loss is reduced because of no swirl, so that a performance of the gas turbine is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 5343447
Abstract: An information recording apparatus has first and second openings arranged near a field coil and flow guides beside the openings, so that an air current generated by a rotation of the medium is circulated through a space between a field coil and the information recording medium, as well as a space formed on an upper portion of said field coil. In the apparatus, an optical pick up is locked with respect to reckless stoppers with a space. Also, a field holder is arranged to be separated from a cassette case holder, but when the cassette case holder is moved in a horizontal direction and then in a perpendicular direction to be mounted on a turn table, the field holder is made to face the information recording medium. This arrangement prevents overheating and improves durability.
