The robot controller detects a state of the robot during the fall and determines a desired rotational velocity that will allow the robot to re-orient itself during the fall to land on a predetermined target body segment (e.g., a backpack). The predetermined target body segment can be specially designed to absorb the impact of the fall and protect important components of the robot.

The driving system includes a fixed substrate, a coil unit which generates an electromagnetic force if an electric current applied, a magnet unit formed on the fixed substrate to face the coil unit, and a plurality of driving units which are interconnected with each other on the fixed substrate, and which are moved respectively in parallel direction with respect to a surface of the fixed substrate in accordance with an interaction between the electromagnetic force and a magnetic force of the magnet unit, if the electric current is applied. As a result, a non-contact driving is provided.

Abstract: A display panel of a liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate including a display area (DA) having a plurality of pixel portions, and a peripheral area (PA) surrounding the display area. A second substrate of the display panel comprises a common electrode and an electrostatic protection member electrically disconnected from the common electrode and surrounding the common electrode. The electrostatic protection member is electrically connected to a fixed-voltage terminal through the first substrate. A liquid crystal layer is provided between the first substrate and the second substrate.

Abstract: An ink composition, and a method of forming a pattern, a color filter and a method of manufacturing the color filter using the same. The ink composition includes a binder resin, a multifunctional monomer having an ethylenic unsaturated double bond, a coloring agent, a polymerization initiator containing a certain positive ion and a solvent. Therefore, the composition has excellent coating property and chemical resistance and also an improved adhesion to a printing member, and thus the ink composition may be useful in forming a precise micropattern using a roll printing method, particularly a reversed printing method.

Abstract: Provided is a multi-route routing scheme that supports Quality of Service (QoS) in the wireless mesh network. A method of notifying about and avoiding congestion situation in data transmission in a wireless mesh network and a mesh node may also be provided. Data may be differentially transmitted to multiple routes by obtaining a route congestion level existing in a current multi-hop route and thus, data providing a real-time service, such as a video streaming service, may avoid congested routes and may be promptly transmitted. Multiple queues in a mesh node may be divided into divided queues based on a congestion situation of a transmission route in a network and the divided queues may be transmitted through multiple routes and thus, an efficiency of the overall network may increase.

Abstract: A method for effectively using power resource in a wireless mesh network is disclosed to select and change a level of a power saving mode according to terminal and network situations to increase the duration of the network's existence as well as improve the power consumption of each mesh terminal. After active mesh terminals that are to perform a data relay function and super-saving mesh terminals that are not to perform the data relay function are selected in consideration of a network topology at certain periods, the level of a power saving mode of the mesh terminals selected as the super-saving mesh terminals is higher than that of the mesh terminals selected as the active mesh terminals. And then, a routing path in a tree form is formed along the mesh terminals selected as the active mesh terminals to transmit data.

A first motion compensation interpolator calculates a first interpolation pixel by reading a first and a second pixel corresponding to a motion vector of an estimated current block respectively from a current and a previous frame or field. A second motion compensation interpolator calculates a second interpolation pixel by reading a third and a fourth pixel corresponding to a motion vector of peripheral blocks adjacent to the current block respectively from the inputted current and previous frame or field. A candidate interpolation pixel calculator calculates a candidate interpolation pixel by allocating a predetermined weight to the first and the second interpolation pixels, among the current blocks. A motion analyzer analyzes the motion vectors of the current block and the peripheral blocks, and determines discontinuities between the blocks.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display driving device that reduces horizontal crosstalk and a liquid crystal display employing the driving device are presented. The driving device includes a common voltage generator that generates first and second common voltages, and the common voltage generator includes a first capacitor provided between a first terminal for outputting the first common voltage and a second terminal for outputting the second common voltage. Since the capacitor is provided between two output terminals of the two common voltages, it reduces the distortion components of the common voltages, thereby reducing horizontal crosstalk. The invention reduces the number of parts in the driving device conferring the added benefit of reduced manufacturing cost.

Abstract: A service provider discovery method in a wireless network environment, includes receiving, by the gateway, a service request (SREQ) packet which is broadcast from a first mobile node in the ad-hoc network; updating and transmitting, by the gateway, the SREQ packet to a service repository which stores at least one service provider information, in the infrastructure network; transmitting, by the service repository, a service reply (SREP) packet containing information relating to a service provider which provides a service requested by the SREQ packet to the gateway, and updating and transmitting, by the gateway, the SREP packet to the first mobile node. Accordingly, the service can be used in association with the ad-hoc network and the infrastructure network.

The channel assignment method may configure a neighbor information table, a parent list, and a dependent list through exchanging of information between mesh routers, and may determine a channel assignment order based on the parent list and the dependent list and then assign a channel, beginning with a mesh router selected as a seed node, and sequentially transmit channel assignment information to mesh routers included in the dependent list.

Particularly, it relates to IL-12p40 mutant gene which inhibits the secretion of IL-12p40 but normally secretes active IL- 12p70 by making mutation at Asn-222 (human) or Asn- 220 (mouse) amino acid of IL-12p40, which acts as a competitive inhibitor of active form of IL-12, IL-12p70. Therefore, the IL-12p40 mutant gene of the present invention can be useful for DNA vaccination and gene therapy against various diseases, for example, AIDS, hepatitis C or hepatitis B, cancer, influenza, tuberculosis and malaria, which essentially require cellular immune responses for their therapy.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a display apparatus comprising a display panel; a controller to analyze input video data into frequency components, and create first and second video data different in the frequency component from each other on the basis of analyzed results; and a panel driver to drive the created first and second video data to be displayed in sequence as images on the display panel. Thus, the present invention provides a display apparatus and a control method thereof, in which first video data and second video data are created by analyzing a frequency component of input video data and output in sequence, thereby decreasing a motion blur through a simple operation without hardware change.

Abstract: A bio sample processing apparatus and method using vacuum chambers in which a bio sample is injected into a first vacuum chamber connected with one end of a bio processor and, after processing, is ejected into a second vacuum chamber connected with the other end of the bio processor. The vacuum chambers and bio processor are connected with each other to form an environment with a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, and the bio sample moves toward the second vacuum chamber due to the pressure difference created by the injection of the bio sample into the first vacuum chamber.
