Abstract: Provided is a method of creating an address forwarding table in an Ethernet ring network. The method includes the steps of: broadcasting, at each Ethernet node, a ring learning frame having information for measuring cost in the frame's payload in both directions; and receiving, at each Ethernet node, two ring learning frames transferred from different Ethernet nodes and recording a ring learning frame containing information having the minimum cost in the Ethernet node's address forwarding table. Accordingly, by creating an intelligent address forwarding table, it is possible to efficiently prevent a loop without conventionally using a closed loop, and to rapidly transfer a frame through an optimal path.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a backlight assembly, a display assembly and a board combining member. The backlight assembly includes a light source generating light and a container receiving the light source. The display assembly includes a display panel received in the container and displaying an image, a driving printed circuit board (“DPCB”) disposed on an outer face of the container, and a flexible printed circuit board (“FPCB”) connecting the DPCB to the display panel. The board combining member combines the DPCB with the outer face of the container to be capable of moving corresponding to a thermal expansion of the container such that a position of the DPCB with respect to the FPCB is not substantially changed. Thus, the FPCB is prevented from warping due to the thermal expansion of the container.

Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device capable of protecting a printed circuit board from electromagnetic interference. The LCD device of the present invention includes a LCD panel for presenting an image, a backlight assembly for illuminating light to the LCD panel, a bottom chassis for securing the LCD panel and the backlight assembly, a first printed circuit board seated on a rear surface of the bottom chassis for generating signals to be supplied to the LCD panel on the basis of externally input signals, a first connector coupled with a signal transfer film which provides the input signal of the first printed circuit board, a shield case made of a conductive material for protecting an upper surface of the first printed circuit board, and a first conductive adhesive member interposed between the first connector and the shield case for discharging an electromagnetic wave from the first connector to the shield case.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for facilitating a business transaction wherein a merchant/operator is presented with transaction-related information in the operator's preferred language and currency, wherein the customer is presented with transaction-related information in the customer's preferred language and currency, and wherein the customer's language and currency are different from the operator's language and currency. This allows persons who speak different languages and who are used to conducting transactions in different currencies to readily engage in business transactions. The method and apparatus can be employed, for example, in a credit card or debit card terminal, thereby allowing a merchant to easily accommodate tourists from foreign countries.

Abstract: Provided is a plasma display apparatus having a plasma display panel constituted of a plurality of discharge cells, and a driver for driving the panel. The apparatus includes a scan IC (integrated circuit) having a first switch turning on to apply a first signal to the panel, and a second switch turning on to apply a second signal to the panel, wherein, when the first signal applied to the panel changes into the second signal, the first and second switches are floated between an application period of the first signal and an application period of the second signal.

Abstract: A positioning device and method using two transmirrors for positioning a moving robot which moves in an indoor environment is provided. The positioning device includes a transmitter transmitting signals to first and second transmirrors; a receiver receiving signals from the first and second transmirrors; and a positioning unit determining the position of the moving robot based on time intervals between time points when signals are transmitted to the first and second transmirrors and time points when signals are received from the first and second transmirrors. Accordingly, the number of transmirrors can be reduced, and synchronization between the moving robot and the transmirrors is not needed, so that it is possible to easily implement the positioning with lower cost.

The method includes: preparing metal ?-diketonate as a precursor; evaporating the metal ?-diketonate at a predetermined temperature higher than a melting point of the metal ?-diketonate; transferring the evaporated metal ?-diketonate into a reaction region; thermally decomposing the transferred gaseous metal ?-diketonate and simultaneously inducing a reaction of the transferred gaseous metal ?-diketonate with oxygen to synthesize the metal oxide hollow nanoparticle; and condensing and collecting the synthesized metal oxide hollow nanoparticles.

Abstract: An organic electro-luminescence (EL) device includes a first electrode formed on a substrate and a second electrode formed to overlap with the first electrode. An organic EL layer is located between the first and second electrodes. A dielectric layer is formed between the second electrode and the EL layer. The dielectric layer contains antioxidative material, formed by a mixture of approximately 50˜75% of an organic material and approximately 25˜50% of an metallic powder.
