  • Patent number: 12286861
Abstract: A technique facilitates actuation of a packer to a sealing and gripping position along a borehole. The packer includes a packer element structure mounted about a center structure. The packer element structure includes a sealing element mounted along an expandable base such that the sealing element may be radially expanded. Additionally, the packer includes an actuator member connected to a portion of the packer element structure via a release mechanism, e.g. a shear member. A plurality of slips may be located on the actuator member such that linear movement of the actuator member causes successive movement of the packer sealing element and then the slips in the radially outward direction. The packer may be constructed such that this sequential setting motion creates a jarring effect to ensure the slips securely bite into the surrounding wellbore surface, e.g. casing surface.

  • Publication number: 20250008359
Abstract: A system described herein may output, during a particular time window (e.g., in a simulation environment), a series of wireless transmissions to one or more User Equipment (“UEs”) of a particular type. The series of wireless transmissions may include first set of transmissions associated with a first set of parameters and a second set of transmissions associated with a second set of parameters. The system may receive channel quality measurements from the one or more UEs, and may identify a measure of variance between the channel quality measurements from the one or more UEs. The system may generate a reliability score associated with the particular type of UE based on the identified measure of variance, and may output, to a wireless network, the reliability score associated with the particular type of UE. The wireless network may communicate with UEs of the particular type based on the reliability score.

  • Patent number: 12171042
Abstract: A base station may include a processor configured to configure a default time period for periodic service requests for discontinuous reception (DRX) for user equipment (UE) devices serviced by the base station. The processor may be further configured to obtain a signal quality value for a UE device serviced by the base station; determine that the obtained signal quality value is less than a low signal quality threshold; and configure a longer time period for the periodic service requests for DRX for the UE device, in response to determining that the obtained signal quality value is less than the low signal quality threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240259872
Abstract: A network device may determine that a user equipment is entering a first frequency band coverage area provided by the network device and may determine that the user equipment is a power sensitive device or a narrow band device. The network device may receive multiple carrier information associated with the network device based on determining that the user equipment is a power sensitive device or a narrow band device. The network device may process the multiple carrier information, with a machine learning model, to determine a quantity of repetitions to extend uplink coverage for the user equipment and may enable the quantity of repetitions to extend the uplink coverage for the user equipment.

  • Publication number: 20240260025
Abstract: In some implementations, a network node may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a configuration that indicates a default time periodicity value for a scheduling request (SR) occasion. The network node may identify a service provided by the network node. The network node may transmit, to the UE, a reconfiguration message that indicates a modified time periodicity value for the SR occasion, the modified time periodicity value being different than the default time periodicity value based on the service provided by the network node. The network node may receive, from the UE, an SR based on the modified time periodicity value for the SR occasion.

  • Patent number: 12035309
Abstract: A base station device dynamically adjusts the configuration of a special slot when operating in a time division duplexing (TDD) mode. The base station can initially communicate with a user equipment (UE) using a first frequency in a time division duplexing (TDD) mode. Using, for example, a timing advance procedure, the base station can determine when the UE requires an expanded cell range (e.g., if the UE is at the cell range edge). In response, the base station adjusts a configuration of a special slot for the UE. The adjustment to the special slot can comprise an addition of a gap symbol, a prioritizing of uplink transmissions over downlink transmissions, or a reserving of one or more downlink symbols during scheduling.
