  • Patent number: 4317016
Abstract: A first portion of a top plate section of an induction heating cooking apparatus is used for placing a cooking pan thereon. A second portion of the same is used for controlling an output of an oscillation circuit for induction-heating the pan. The output control device includes a permanent magnet movably disposed along a groove provided in the surface of the second portion of the top plate section, a magnetic field adjusting plate provided on the inner surface of the second portion corresponding to the groove, a magnetic field detecting circuit including a Hall element provided close to one end of the magnetic field adjusting plate, and an oscillation output control circuit for controlling the output from the oscillation circuit by a control signal obtained by comparing the output signal from the magnetic field detecting circuit with a reference signal.

  • Patent number: 4274053
Abstract: A magnetic rotary encoder for detecting the absolute value of an angular displacement using magneto-resistors is disclosed. A drum, disk or cup-shaped rotary member is attachable to a rotatable shaft. A magnetic medium divided into a plurality of tracks is provided on a surface of the rotary member. Each of the tracks produces magnetic fields changing in magnitude and direction as the rotary member revolves. Alternatively, a plurality of permanent magnets are provided on the surface of the rotary member to produce the alternating magnetic field as the rotary member revolves. A plurality of magneto-resistors are provided in the vicinity of the rotating paths of the tracks and produce analog signals indicative of changes in their electrical resistances. A rotary condition detector receives the analog signals and produces digital signals and/or an analog signal indicative of the angular distance moved by the rotatable shaft in an absolute value.

  • Patent number: 4217783
Abstract: A pressure sensor comprises essentially magnetoresistive elements formed on a diaphragm serving as a stress magnifier. The diaphragm may be made, for example, of glass in a thickness of 0.5 millimeter, and the magnetoresistive elements can be formed thereon in any desired pattern of thin stripes by ordinary thin-film techniques. Such sensor elements can be mass produced, e.g., by vapor deposition and etching on a large sheet of diaphragm material and cutting into chips of desired shape and size.

  • Patent number: 4191286
Abstract: A transporting apparatus for transporting cylindrical steel articles such as steel pipes by using inclined skid rails is arranged to have a magnetic braking device including electromagnetic coils for controlling the rolling speeds of the articles to be transported, wherein the electromagnetic coils are so disposed as to minimize a magnetic path for the magnetic fluxes developed by the electromagnetic coils and are also arranged in the shell type manner to prevent the electromagnetic coils from being externally damaged.

  • Patent number: 4031171
Abstract: An ultrasonic air humidifying apparatus comprising separably connected upper and lower cabinets; a power transformer, high frequency generator and motor-blower contained in the upper cabinet; a water vessel formed in the lower cabinet; a chassis board interposed between the upper cabinet and lower cabinet so as to define an airtight space above the surface of water in the water vessel; a mist conduit pipe fixed to the chassis board, inserted at the lower end into the water in the water vessel and projected at the upper end out of the top part of the upper cabinet; an ultrasonic vibrator assembly fitted to the lower end of the mist conduit pipe; and a water supply tank removably fitted in the upper cabinet so as to supply water into the water vessel, in order to obtain an ultrasonic air humidifying apparatus easy to clean and inspect and high in the performance.
