  • Patent number: 6895652
Abstract: A duplex pipe (10) is cut with a cutting tool (30), for cutting connecting ribs (13) from the end face of the duplex pipe (10) which is held with an outer pipe (11) chucked (rib cutting step). The duplex pipe (10) is cut from the end face of the duplex pipe (10) up to the portion thereof corresponding to the exposed length of the inner pipe (12) to thereby form a slit (21) in the outer pipe (11) and connecting ribs (13) (slit forming step). The cutting tool (30) has a guide hole (31) into which the inner pipe (12) can be inserted while guiding the inner pipe outer peripheral surface (12a), a cutting device (32) for cutting the connecting ribs (13), and a guide pin (33) which can be inserted into the inner pipe (12) while guiding the inner pipe inner peripheral surface (12b).

  • Publication number: 20050101052
Abstract: In a dividing method according to the present invention, a wiring board formed of ceramic is forced up (upper swing) by a lower clamp claw of a clamper, and some of a protruded wiring board portion protruding from a conveying chute is pressed against a support body to perform a first division under bending stress. Thereafter, the upward-located clamper is rotatably swung (lower swing) downward to allow an upper clamp claw to press down the protruded wiring board portion, thereby performing a reverse division at the first division section again as a second division. Since the second division allows a tensile force to act on a remaining and thin non-divided resin portion, the non-divided resin portion is torn off. Thus, the perfect division is enabled. Fractionalizing is done by a one-row division and an individual division so that each semiconductor device is formed.

The system includes, in order from an object, a first group G1 being positive, a second group G2 being negative, a third group G3 being positive, and a fourth group G4 being positive. Zooming is performed by moving the second and third groups along the optical axis. The fourth group G4 is composed of a front group G4F being positive, a middle group G4M being negative, and a rear group G4R being positive. Vibration reduction is performed by shifting the middle group G4M perpendicular to the optical axis. The first group G1 consists of a first front group G1f being fixed, a first middle group G1m being movable, and a first rear group G1r being fixed. • Publication number: 20040239457
Abstract: There are provided a contact construction for DC loads which, even in the case of a high-capacitance load, can be repeatedly cut off for a long term without causing any problems such as cut-off failure, locking and deposition due to an abnormal continuation of an arc between the contacts, burning and destruction of the contacts, and an increase in contact resistance, and whose reductions in size and cost can be achieved, as well as a switching device having the contact construction. The contact construction includes a stationary contact and a movable contact that are opposite to each other, and a magnetic unit which applies a magnetic field acting in a direction orthogonal to a moving direction of the movable contact, to a space in which both contacts exist, and one of the stationary contact and the movable contact is used as an anode-side contact, and the other is used as a cathode-side contact.

  • Patent number: 6822737
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a pretilt angle is comprised of a light source 1, a polarizer 2, a liquid-crystal cell 3, a quarter-wave plate 4, an analyzer 5, a photodetector 6, and a processing device. The processing device receives from the photodetector transmitted light intensities of light that is transmitted through the liquid-crystal cell 3 at a plurality of light incident angles. The processing device calculates Stokes parameters corresponding to the plurality of light incident angles based upon the transmitted light intensity corresponding to the plurality of light incident angles. Furthermore, an apparent retardation corresponding to the plurality of light incident angles is determined based upon the Stokes parameters corresponding to the plurality of light incident angles. The pretilt angle of the liquid-crystal cell 3 is determined based upon the determined apparent retardation corresponding to the plurality of light incident angles.

  • Publication number: 20040222493
Abstract: The present invention relates to a capacitor element and its manufacturing method. The invention presents a capacitor element comprising a lower electrode, a dielectric film, and an upper electrode, and its manufacturing method, in which the surface of at least one layer of the lower electrode in a single layer structure or laminated structure, for example, the surface of the lower electrode contacting with the dielectric film, is flattened by processing the material itself which composes this surface. For example, it is flattened by filling the recesses at the crystal grain boundary of the surface with the material itself shaved from the surface. As a result, undulations of the surface of the lower electrode of the capacitor element are lessened, and the film thickness of the dielectric film is made uniform, and capacity drop and increase of leak current can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20040189780
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus, unnecessary light emitted from a light source is irradiated to a solar battery panel in printing or reading an image, and in a standby state. The solar battery panel is provided inside of a light-quality adjusting unit or a balance filter unit, and also provided in a surface to which the light from the light source is irradiated. The solar battery panels are arranged so as to cover gaps: the gap generated between the light-quality adjusting unit or the balance filter unit and the discussion box and the gap generated between the diffusion box and the film carrier. The solar battery panel converts the light from the light source to the electricity. The electricity is charged in a battery to drive a cooling fan.

  • Publication number: 20040164196
Abstract: A nip roller is provided to interpose a leading portion of a photo film between the nip roller and a core. The nip roller performs a circular motion along the periphery of the core in synchronism with the rotation of the core. The circular motion is performed by first to third motors until the leading portion of the photo film makes one revolution around the core and is just about to be wound in a stack condition. A conveyance slip is hardly caused between the photo film and the core, and between the photo film and the nip roller.

  • Publication number: 20040164197
Abstract: In a magazine, when a lid is opened for loading a recording material, a discrimination pin is unlocked and shifted from a first position to a second position. When a magazine is set to a printer processor, a positioning pin presses the discrimination pin to shift to the first position, at which the discrimination pin is locked. After removal of the magazine from the printer processor, the discrimination pin is in the first position. When the lid is opened to load fresh recording material in the magazine, the discrimination pin is in the second position. It is discriminated by detecting the position of the discrimination pin whether the magazine is a partially used one. When the partially used magazine is set to the printer processor, a forward edge of the recording material is not cut.

  • Publication number: 20040075515
Abstract: A high frequency power amplifying device has two amplifying lines. Each amplifying line has a configuration in which a plurality of amplifying stages are connected in cascade having two source voltage terminals, of which one is connected to the first amplifying stage of one amplifying line and to the remaining amplifying stages of the other amplifying line, and the other, to the first amplifying stage of the latter amplifying line and to the remaining amplifying stages of the former amplifying line. An air core coil with a low D.C. resistance, formed by spirally winding a copper wire of about 0.1 mm in diameter, is connected in series between the final amplifying stage of each amplifying line and the source voltage terminal. Since there is no signal leak in each amplifying line from the final amplifying stage to the first amplifying stage and the D.C. resistance of the air core coil is low, oscillation margin can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6704999
Abstract: When any of facilities of a film producing and packaging system suffers a failure, a film processing controller shuts off the film producing and packaging system. The operator repairs a failing facility and manually discharges a length of an elongate film which may possibly be defective. After the failing facility is repaired, the film processing controller is restarted to operate the film producing and packaging system, which then automatically discharges a length of the elongate film corresponding to a preset number of sized films. It is possible to easily and quickly discard a portion of the elongate film which has been made defective by the facility failure.
