  • Publication number: 20030108344
Abstract: A water heater adapted to avoid peak temperatures of delivered water comprises a plate heat exchanger (1) connected to a storage container (2) provided with interior reinforcing means (9-11. FIG. 1; 13-13′″. FIGS. 5-18) connecting opposite parts of the outer wall (2′) of the container (2). Even provided with a thin storage container wall this makes it possible to use a box shaped water heater design without risk of deformations due to variations in the water pressure. The reinforcing means may consist of stacked interconnected plates (13-13′″). e.g. having the same form and size as plates (12-12′″) used in a plate heat exchanger connected to the container (2).

  • Patent number: 6061341
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a TCP packet connection between a remote host on a first network and a mobile station on a mobile network is disclosed. The process initially involves performing a three-way handshake routine between the remote host and a gateway packet mobile switching center of the mobile network to establish the validity of a TCP packet connection request. During the handshake routine transmissions from the remote host are buffered by the gateway packet mobile switching center. A second three-way handshake routine is then carried out between the gateway packet mobile switching center and the mobile station using the buffered transmissions to complete a TCP connection between the mobile station and the remote host.

  • Patent number: 5988269
Abstract: A plate heat exchanger for two or more flowing media may according to the invention be designed so that the front and rear cover plates (1, 8) of the exchanger act as channel defining walls for a flowing heat exchanging medium, and so that the tube connections at the inlet and outlet ports (10-13) can be established in a common plane. This is obtained thereby that the front and rear cover plates (1, 8) together with the adjacent first (2) and last (5) channel forming plates define distribution channels (18) crossing the direction between adjacent inlet and outlet ports.

  • Patent number: 4976671
Abstract: The invention relates to a range gearbox of planetary type, designed to be attached to a vehicle gearbox, a so-called base gearbox. The annulus or gear ring of the planetary gear set is non-rotatably joined to a shift sleeve, through which the annulus can be locked either to a coupling ring securely joined to the front housing end wall of the range gearbox, or to a coupling ring which is non-rotatably mounted on the input shaft of the range gearbox. The shift sleeve serves as an annulus carrier and displaces the annulus axially during the shift movement.

  • Patent number: 4921021
Abstract: A filler pipe for a packing machine for consecutively filling a traveling and continuous series of connected packing container blanks, with a liquid product such as yogurt, and a separate jam product, without mixing the two types of product. This filler pipe is used in conjunction with blanks formed of two joined webs and provides sealing of the filled packing containers. The invention utilizes a nozzle with multiple filling paths each of which passes product to at least one of the packing container blanks. The nozzle receives the liquid product from a flat shaped larger delivery pipe, and the jam product from a smaller delivery pipe parallel to the larger pipe. The smaller pipe, which may be located inside or on the outer wall of the large pipe, is placed at a predetermined distance above the junction of the larger delivery pipe and the nozzle. In this way each container is first filled with its share of jam product and then with the liquid (yogurt) product with no mixing of the two products.

  • Patent number: RE33551
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle gearbox with two concentrically mounted input shafts (6,9), each driving an individual countershaft (12,15). The countershafts have gear wheels (16,18,19,41) in engagement with gear wheels (21,22,40) on an output shaft. The shafts are arranged in a V-configuration and one countershaft has a disengageable gear wheel (23) in engagement with a gear wheel (11) on the second countershaft to reverse the rotational direction of the latter for driving in reverse. One countershaft (12) has a central synchronizing device (30), by means of which the countershaft, which is drivingly coupled to the temporarily non-driven input shaft, can be accelerated up to a rotational speed determined by the gear speed selected.
