  • Patent number: 4876907
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle gearbox with two concentrically mounted input shafts (6,9), each driving an individual countershaft (12,15). The countershafts have gear wheels (16,18,17,19,41) in engagement with gear wheels (21,22,40) on an output shaft. The shafts are arranged in a V-configuration and one countershaft has a disengageable gear wheel (23) in engagement with a gear wheel (11) on the second countershaft to reverse the rotational direction of the latter for driving in reverse. One countershaft (12) has a central synchronizing device (30), by means of which the countershaft, which is drivingly coupled to the temporarily non-driven input shaft, can be accelerated up to a rotational speed determined by the gear speed selected.

  • Patent number: 4589591
Abstract: Joints in packing containers of heat-sealable gas-tight laminate are sensitive to deformation, since this often results in a deterioration of the gas-tightness. This is due to the accumulation of melted thermoplastics which is produced during the heat-sealing. This problem is eliminated in that the sealing zone of the joint is given a limited width and is placed at a distance from the edge of the laminate. A method and an arrangement for realizing this comprises a heating zone whose width is limited in relation to the width of the sealing jaws which are used for the sealing together of the material layers.

  • Patent number: 4537553
Abstract: A silo or the like for storing pulverulent, granular or lumpy material has a wall which encloses the silo storage space, a roof whose pitch substantially corresponds to the angle of repose of the material, an inlet opening in the silo roof, an outlet opening in the silo floor, and a screw conveyor suspended from a beam rotatable about the axis of the silo. The beam is inclined downwardly from the inlet opening of the silo and extends substantially parallel to the roof pitch, and the conveyor is suspended from the beam by means of wires which are adjustable independently of each other with respect to their length. The conveyor can thus be anchored close and parallel to the supporting beam when material is fed into the silo, and be disposed at a suitable angle, preferably inclined downwardly toward the center of the silo, when material is discharged from the silo.

  • Patent number: 4375225
Abstract: A mixing valve of the single lever type having a valve housing (1) with a hot water inlet and a cold water inlet. The mixing ratio is determined by two valve plates (8,9) which are rotatable and displaceable relative to one another and which are guided by dogging means (14, 15, 19). A stop means (30), which can be locked relative to the dogging means, is arranged to co-act with an abutment means, which can be fixedly mounted relative to the dogging means, so as to restrict rotation of the dogging means towards a position in which the ratio of hot water and cold water fed to the mixing chamber increases, to a desired value.

  • Patent number: 4231613
Abstract: A seat cushion for children, placed on the seat bottom of a vehicle seat to provide an elevated sitting position. Uniformly constructed guides for a hip belt, arranged on two opposite sides of the cushion, engage the belt to prevent it from sliding upwards when the cushion is positioned for use and the belt is coupled. Each guide includes a first portion extending forwards in the direction of the vehicle and defining a forwardly opening slot through which one part of the hip belt passes, and a second portion extending laterally outside the slot and forming a stop for a part of the belt located outside the slot to prevent the second part from moving upwards.

  • Patent number: 4184159
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for silage temperature control in a silo. Measurement transmitters are placed at points where it is desirable to check the temperature of the silage located in the silo. These measurement transmitters are activated, on temperature control, by means of an activation transmitter with an antenna. On activation, the measurement transmitters transmit a signal which is related to the ambient temperature, this signal being received by a receiver. If a measurement transmitter indicates a temperature deviating from a predetermined norm, it is localized by direction finding.
