  • Patent number: 9215920
Abstract: This applicator for cosmetic products, or lipstick, is a single or multiple ply card with an embossed pattern that retains a sample of lipstick from a separate container. The pattern shears lipstick from a tube onto the applicator. Also, the pattern assists a consumer in placing the cosmetic upon the applicator. In use, a woman selects a lipstick and moves the applicator, with the raised pattern, or field, down, across the lipstick source. The lipstick collects between the embossing of the raised field. A woman folds the applicator, moves it to her mouth, and transfers the sample to her lips. Following use, a woman reverse folds the applicator and encloses the raised field and sample residue for disposal.

  • Patent number: 8985479
Abstract: A framed freshener provides a thermal formed cavity, or thermoplastic shell, carrying scented gel that fits into a picture frame. The present invention locates a fragrant gel in a thermal formed cavity or thermoplastic shell or container which is then placed within a suitably designed picture frame. Coupling a fragrance with a photo in a frame, the present invention seeks to foster memories in those who view the frame. Additionally, the shell carrying gel makes the frame a decorative air freshening device. The picture frame and the opening for the fragrance container can be die cut to any shape. An alternate embodiment has the shell supported in a wire frame upon a base.

  • Publication number: 20150063895
Abstract: A fragrance sampler having an integral applicator is disclosed in which the sampler comprises a top ply having an upper surface and a lower surface, a mid ply having an upper surface, an outer perimeter edge, a back surface, a well formed therein, a bead of adhesive surrounding the well, and an area between the bead of adhesive and the outer perimeter edge, a non-woven material applicator having a sample material incorporated therein with the applicator being sized and shaped to fit within the well, and a bottom ply having a front surface and a back surface.

  • Publication number: 20130337225
Abstract: A body art transfer device has a base support with a substantially nonabsorbent surface, and a coating of a body art composition. The composition has an amorphous, non-crystalline structure, and the coating has an approximate thickness of 0.5 mils to 5 mils. This device has the details and coloration of a tattoo or cosmetic design printed upon the base support and placed under a protective cover. The body art transfer device allows for easy application of the body art composition to skin. The person then moves the base support upon their skin to transfer composition as a tattoo or cosmetic design in its respective colors, shapes, and design to the skin. This device avoids usage of water and produces a temporary tattoo or cosmetic design removed readily by people using ordinary soap and without strong chemicals or coarse abrasives.

  • Publication number: 20130338056
Abstract: The fragrant gel polymer system is a process where a complete fragrance formulation remains whole and is then blended with either a polymer or a cross-linking agent. The non-fragrance carrying polymer is then liquefied and made homogenous with a solvent, including esters. The solvents modify viscosity and ease the mixing of the non-fragrance carrying polymer with the fragrance carrying polymer. The method also provides surfactants and wetting agents for further integration and mixing of the fragrance oils with either the polymer or the cross-linking agent during the steps of the process. Mixing of the fragrance carrying polymer and the non-fragrance polymer results in a gel that sets in less time and with less syneresis than existing processes.

  • Patent number: 8541358
Abstract: The fragrant gel polymer system is a process where a fragrance formulation is divided and blended with a polymer and a cross-linking agent. The polymer is then liquefied and made homogenous with a solvent, including esters. The solvent modifies viscosity and later eases the mixing of the polymer with the cross-linking agent. The cross linking agent is then liquefied and blended with water and aliphatic alcohol reducing steric hindrance. Mixing of the fragrance carrying polymer and the cross linking agent results in a gel that sets in less time and with less syneresis than existing processes. The resulting gel achieves a near transparent form and receives dyes while attaining various molded shapes.

  • Publication number: 20130168463
Abstract: A fragrance slide sampler incorporating a fragrance card being coated on one surface with a microencapsulated fragrance and one or more cover elements comprising a first side and a second side, one side being exposed to the user, and the second side being in contact with the microencapsulated fragrance card surface. When the fragrance card is moved, relative to the contiguous cover element, the fragrance card releases its aroma to frictional rubbing against the contiguous cover element, and releases its fragrance through the cover element for enhancing the aroma of the ambient area. Additional means for containing the fragrance sample are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130152963
Abstract: A cosmetic applicator construction that includes a distributable sampling packet that is affixable to a carrier substrate, such as a mailing card or printed publication, to permit distribution of the sampling packet to an end location for use thereat by an individual user. The cosmetic applicator construction is suitable for use in the mailing of cosmetic samples in separate mailers or the provision thereof on or within a printed publication and includes a sampling packet, which is preferably a two-ply card, and an underlying release liner. The upper ply of the sampling packet includes an embossed field formed on the underside of the upper ply, disposed between the upper ply and the lower ply, and configured to hold a cosmetic sample.

  • Publication number: 20130056549
Abstract: An auto air freshener provides a parallel spaced apart board and a card that suspending from a hang point. The auto air freshener has a blotter board that includes fragrance oil and other enhancers, a facer card having printed graphics upon one or both surfaces, a clip that spaces the board and the card apart, and a flexible elongated loop that hangs the freshener at a location selected by the user. Alternatively, a pedestal supports the board and the card upright. The freshener invention separates the delivery of fragrance from the visual display of graphics. The separation allows for the manufacture and the usage of the blotter board and the facer card with improved print quality and wider selection of fragrances.

  • Publication number: 20120000808
Abstract: A fragrance sampler is provided which is made from two plies, a bottom ply and a top ply, of material. A cosmetic, such as a wet fragrance, sample is deposited on the bottom ply. A well is formed in at least one of the plies and is sized and shaped to surround the sample. The two plies are then adhered together to form a liquid tight seal between the two plies and around the well.

  • Patent number: 8087417
Abstract: The applicator for cosmetics has one or more plies with scoring to form a handle area and a sample area. The scoring upon the top ply guides the applicator to bend into a handle area grasped by a woman's fingers and the sample area has a slight bow to apply eye shadow or other powdered cosmetic as the woman sees fit. The sample area has embossing in the bottom ply to retain pre-deposited cosmetics for further sampling.
