  • Publication number: 20240326344
Abstract: An apparatus and method of manufacturing a thermoplastic tube-to-tube-sheet joint is disclosed. The method provides at least one tube-sheet having a first aperture and a plurality of holes. Further, the at least one tube-sheet fixes into a welding fixture using a plurality of bolts through the holes. The welding fixture has a second aperture. The method inserts a tubular member within the first aperture and the second aperture and fills an adequate molten workpiece material, using an FSW process, in a clearance gap between the tubular member and the at least one tube-sheet. The apparatus includes at least one tube-sheet having a first aperture, a welding fixture having a second aperture, a tubular member inserted into the at least one tube-sheet, and an adequate molten workpiece material, using the FSW process, is filled in a clearance gap between the tubular member and the at least one tube-sheet.

  • Patent number: 11934301
Abstract: A system and method for automated software testing that uses machine learning algorithms to automatically generate and implement software testing based on an automated analysis of the software. In an embodiment, a mobile software application comprising one or more screens is processed through a trained machine learning algorithm to identify screens and objects, understand the operational flow of the application, define priorities and dependencies within the application, define validation tests, and automatically generate one or more testing scenarios for the application. The testing scenarios may then be fed to an automated execution module which installs the application on one or more physical or virtual devices and performs testing on the application installed on those devices according to the testing scenario.

  • Publication number: 20230346566
Abstract: Prosthetic ankle replacements, prostheses, and associated methods of implanting prosthetic ankle and other joint replacements. In one form, a tibia stem has a geometry to facilitate implant installation while providing means to transfer load over a larger surface area through a “press-fit,” “scratch-fit” or “cortical fit”, thus lowering the contact stresses at the tibia-metal implant interface. The design and its implantation procedure also address minimization of misalignment. A talus element presents a partial-hemispherical surface; a tibial element which is to be affixed within the tibia, having an elongated stem part which extends into and within a canal of the tibial inner cortex, an intermediate body part which smoothly widens in radius toward an end which is a base to the tibial element, the base having a concavity formed therein shaped to match the partial-hemispherical surface of the talus element with a plastic cap between the two.

  • Patent number: 10329900
Abstract: Dimensionality reduction systems and methods facilitate visualization, understanding, and interpretation of high-dimensionality data sets, so long as the essential information of the data set is preserved during the dimensionality reduction process. In some of the disclosed embodiments, dimensionality reduction is accomplished using clustering, evolutionary computation of low-dimensionality coordinates for cluster kernels, particle swarm optimization of kernel positions, and training of neural networks based on the kernel mapping. The fitness function chosen for the evolutionary computation and particle swarm optimization is designed to preserve kernel distances and any other information deemed useful to the current application of the disclosed techniques, such as linear correlation with a variable that is to be predicted from future measurements. Various error measures are suitable and can be used.
